I really enjoyed the Plan, I liked how it managed to slot into a plot that was made up as the producers went along, I also found the fact that you saw more of the cyclons fascinating. I really am hoping for more!

Does 'Battlestar's 'Plan' come together?... Does anyone really care anymore?

I was expecting something fantastic and was severely underwhelmed with The Plan. It could have been SO good, it was just boring...and I am a HUGE fan of BSG, even bought some of the original Props when they went on sale.

Okay, I have a bit of a bias here. I am not a great Dean Stockwell fan so I tired of him in "The Plan". I thought the acting in the few new sequences was below par for the series. I also like the the original ambiguity of Boomer's Cylon program buried far far away from her consciousness. "The Plan" added to and substantially changed the first Boomer which for my money was a big negative. I love Grace Park but found the new scenes not as well performed as the the ones in the series --- perhaps she either was not sold on her new persona or didn't have time to properly incorporate it. Kudos to the effects in this movie. The action scenes are awesome. The rest of it left a lousy feeling that that I had been had and that this piece was not very respectful of the series. --- not only for the dollars but for the time. The nudity was gratuitous, insulting and not only added nothing positive but was a further insult to fans of the show. I guess some might see it as a sort of comic relief but otherwise distracting and cheap. No new issues here, no great moral dilemmas or character studies not better handled in the series. Too much explaining that added nothing or was better left unexplained. I won't join the ranks of those saying this was simply a commercial effort to milk some money from diehard fans. I think it was well intentioned but "they" had to rely too much on clips from the series with little time from the great ensemble cast to put quality dialog and story telling into the work. It was not the movie they wanted but given the material they had to work with it was the movie they could cut, paste and bridge together. I doubt it is a project they take much pride in given the quality of what we had from this team in the past. It did nothing to enrich my BSG experience.

Boring. I have watched all 5 seasons and I still turned it off halfway. I was even high, and I will watch almost anything when I am high. Except this. BORING!

personally I did NOT find the last episode disappointing or confusing.

I'm a retcon geek (I love trying to invent plausible continuity for shows that were clearly being made up as they went along) and The Plan is a splendid example of this - although it's clear that the writers always had their ending in mind (not that it's a particularly clever or original one), the journey was sometimes erratic. So it's fun to see something that pretends to fill in the holes. But yes - other than the retcon geeks, I cannot see who would find this interesting at all. It's just a cheap cash-in excuse that doesn't really answer any questions that those who had been paying attention hadn't already answered. I loved it - but I know I'm in a distinct minority.

I've seen it and I thought it was very good indeed. Four stars is fair. Remember, this was filling in some of the holes, and Dean Stockwell is superb in it. A bit too sexed up for my liking (six and one - eww), but anyway. Here's one for Ben to go after. We all know Glenn Larson is putting his name behind the big screen movie, but the rumors in the US media keep hinting that Ron D. Moore will be involved. Also, it would be a movie about the first Cylon War - any updates on this via your sources?

Pretty disappointing, while it did fill a few gaps, was nothing as amazing as it was hyped up to be. The opening sequence was very well done, and I'm glad the gave time to lesser characters, but yes it jumps all over the place, has no real structure and indeed.. gets a touch boring in places. Razor was a much better attempt at a BSG feature.

About the only positive review I've read about 'Th Plan'. I thought it was dire tbh. It added NOTHING to the series and serves merely as a cash cow for the producers. So so disappointing.

I've seen the Plan and it bored the hell out of me and I ended up switching it off. I'm a huge battlestar fan and was very disapointed by it.

But when will it be shown on Sky?

Interesting... this is the ONLY positive review I've read; many many reviewers HATED 'The Plan'. I'll reserve judgement, but as someone who detested the direction the show took after New Caprica ("it's all about the characters!... who cares about plot??"), I doubt I'll like it!
