I only watched it to see Christian Cooke! The first episode was the best when he was running around in just his boxer shorts!
Nick, Southampton on February 26th, 2009
Looks like Glenister saw the writing on the wall and jumped before 'Demons' was dropped (which it surely would have been). It was better than 'Bonekickers', but that's about all you can say in its favour (which isn't much)!

No way!!!! It's well good. You have to take into consideration that the show is on a saturday when a majority of people are getting ready to go out or are out. I myself missed the last 4 episodes due to these reasons and had to catch up online. Where the online views taking into consideration?
Justine, Manchester on February 25th, 2009
Myself and my ten year old daughter loved this show and will really miss it if it doesn't return for a second series.
Mel Wales on February 24th, 2009
I think Demons was great, and the actors/actresses were brilliant. I really didnt know what to expect when it was advertised on t.v but i sat down and watch the first episode and i was hooked straight away. I hope there is going to be a second series, as it was fantastic.
Jaden, UK, 14 on February 23rd, 2009
I think the series was really terrible and it was a major disappointment. The characters were bad, and the story lines were very poor. It was just so bad! I would rather stab my eyes out with a pencil then watch this dribble again, major major disappointment! When ever I see a trailer or part of the show it makes me run away to my Merlin boxset to make me feel better. It will never be as good as Merlin or Doctor Who ever!
Gianni, Italy on February 23rd, 2009
the stories were very poor and the demons very weak i think the show was rock bottom ,so the only thing that could happen with a good script is that the shows ratings could go up.I don't think that the show should be axed after 6 episodes

I'm 15 and thought it was ok, i think this article is exaggerated but most of the points are correct, but my friend and my father both LOVE IT, which is odd considering my father doesn't like cheesy (especially american) comedies, though he does like that horrorsci kind of thing, it was ok not great with enough fans of it to br brought back but with many against it.
shan uk on February 22nd, 2009
i loved it!

its was totally crap - end of!
Jennifer, Texas on February 20th, 2009
Why didn't Philip want a Texas accent. We're crushed here in Dallas. We are big fans of British TV and here he goes insulting us. And I'm all set to watch Ashes when it comes here in March. ;-(
jane, suffolk on February 18th, 2009
people are being so harsh about this series, sure it needs some improvements but i really hope it gets a chance to come back for a second series. I miss it already!

Crap, Crap, Crap.
Miski,London on February 17th, 2009
I think instead of axing the show altogether the producers should get feedback from the audience and learn from thier mistakes and try to improve it so more audiences will be drawn to the show as well as the old one.I also think they shoul create a more unique instresting story like like Doctor who does.
Annis, UK on February 17th, 2009
First programme I've watched in a long time that made me want to rip my own eyes out. I'd probably have rendered myself deaf too, given the opportunity, thanks to the dreadful 'dialogue'.
nadia, aberdeenshire on February 17th, 2009
zoe tapper deserves all the credit for this awesome show. mina is the only thing keeping me and my mates watching. and now that she's lost control of her vampirism we can look forward to better episodes. buffy didn't have an amazing start either and now it's brilliant, so dont axe it, if naything axe that dribbly 'being human' now thats rubbish. go for a demons series 2 and keep zoe tapper!!!
Clare, Kent on February 17th, 2009
They should give it another series i think, and make some major improvements. while i like Philip Glenister, his accent was god awful, and did make the show (for me) almost unwatchable. they just need to improve the storylines and the writing really, but the base of the show was pretty good i thought.
matt, bracknell on February 17th, 2009
I really wanted this show to be gr8, as Shine had proved themselves with Merlin. But honestly, I reckon it now needs to be killed off. What could of been a great british horror drama, original & intelligent, came off as a pointless teen angst drama, with stupid characters & dumb plots. Smite it!! (also, did anyone else think that this was originally intended for post-watershed? The swearing and innuendo was more apparent then in Primeval or Doctor who)

I like demons but I was very dissappointed to find out it is going to be axed. I agree it not as good as Supernatual but the was room for improvment.
Anne Middlesbrough on February 16th, 2009
Demons is a very very very poor rip off of Supernatural and it needs to be axed
Whit Worksop Uk on February 15th, 2009
I personally thought it was terrible , if you were to take every Americanised horror programme load them into a shotgun . fire them at a wall then stitch it back together with rubbish action sequences there you have demons.
ily, Luton on February 15th, 2009
its absolutely **** pls get this drivel off our screens
naomi sargent , chessington on February 14th, 2009
the best . i love it and its very differ to what has been on itv1 i think they should do another series all my friends whatched it
annom scotland on February 14th, 2009
I think the music was not suitable for the program it would have been more suited to an episode of The Adams Family etc., The dialogue was too old world, how many people use the word "smite" today. Even with these faults the program was quite enjoyable for me not in the Buffy or Angel group but watchable, if they got some better storylines maybe a better budget it could develop into a reasonable cult show.
Lesley - South East on February 14th, 2009
Although I didn't watch - but recorded the programme to watch later - I thought the show was great and look forward to a follow up series!
Marcus, Bristol UK on February 13th, 2009
Anyone who liked this show is either very young or just plain dumb. Please, if there's anyone out there over 20 and with a decent education who likes this derivative, dull dross post here and prove me wrong. BTW I should point out there is nothing fundamentally wrong with making TV for morons. In fact it's a rather large broadcasting market that ITV serves amazingly well.
Jo, Brighton on February 13th, 2009
I don't think Ruby was the problem or galvin - I'd hapily watch a show with them as the only leads. The problem was mostly with the lack of chemistry between Galvin and Luke, the lacklustre stories and Christian Cooke's horrible acting - the boy should look for another career pronto.
Rob, Luton on February 13th, 2009
I thought it was nothing new. Like something sewn together. I especially see that with scripts. It's like all stories are rehash jobs of old stories I've already heard but then I am no Doctor Who fan either.
burtie on February 13th, 2009
it was too americanised, it's like itv were trying to create a show like Buffy or Angel etc which is good when its set in america. It did have posibilities from the extensive advertisement but after watching it you just realised its itv using an old format. Instead of making a gritty, dark series from which its title boasts Demons is more like a storm in a tea cup.
Tracy Slough on February 12th, 2009
I absolutely love Demons, both me and my son sit and watch it every week. We Sky+ it so we can watch it on a Sunday during the day as it is too scarey to watch before bed time !!!!!!
Natalie, Teignmouth on February 12th, 2009
I Loved it, you should do a second series!!
Redvers Kyle,Taunton on February 12th, 2009
Absolutley amazed by a review that suggests that Christian Cooke can act. His performance as 'Ross' the unit soldier from Series 4 of Doctor Who was abysmal. In Demons he has progressed from wooden to static. Canceling this dreadful series would be a blessed release, then ITV can get back to doing what they do best - Talent Shows for morons.
Shelley,Paisley on February 11th, 2009
I think demons should be brought back for a second series as i really enjoyed it !! and i think ruby should be in it and she and luke should get together.I really hope it gets brought back for a second series!!!!!!
charlotte from leeds on February 11th, 2009
I dont think demons was that bad, its not the best programme to ever grace our television screens but its certainly wasn't the worst i can promise you that.
JJ somerset on February 11th, 2009
I was very disapointed with Demons watched it twice and that was enough. In contrast *Being Human* on BBC3 should be upgraded to BBC1 its fantastic! We look forward to the next episode every week. JJ

i wouldnt say demons was a fantastic show however i enjoyed it. it just needs more time to get to know and like the characters. ill be watching if it has another season!!!!!

Love it!!!!! Don't cancel it please ITV
Janine, London on February 10th, 2009
Agree with pretty much all this apart from your thoughts on Christian Cooke's acting ability. I don't think he was let down by the material, he's just really not very good. He was equally wooden and charisma-free in "Doctor Who".
