Jack Davenport has admitted that he would be "scared" to experience a 'FlashForward' in real-life.

The former This Life star plays Lloyd Simcoe on the show, in which the world populace is thrown into upheaval after they black out for 2 minutes and 17 seconds and glimpse forthcoming events in their lives.

Davenport revealed that he has no inkling whatsoever to see into his future, PA reports.

He said: "Absolutely not - I'm scared enough of the future as it is, ignorance is bliss."

The 36-year-old Brit also explained that he is "pleased" that the US-produced drama has been picked up by Five in the UK.

He added: "A lot of the time when you do stuff over here either it takes a hell of a lot of time to get back home, or doesn't, and there's a certain element of, 'What have we been up to for the last however long?'

"So I'm really pleased that it's being shown on terrestrial television and it's available for everyone to watch."

ABC recently announced that it has ordered a full season of the new series.
