S04E12: 'Criss Angel Is A Douchebag'

Sam and Dean head to Iowa Magic Week after learning that a young magician has been stabbed to death despite having no visible damage to his clothes.

Their queries lead them to suspect three faded magicians - Charlie, Jay and Vernon - who are envious of their more youthful counterparts and pining for their heyday.

The brothers' belief seems to be confirmed when a second magician is killed in a manner that reflects Jay's latest illusion, as the older man attempts to regain the limelight by performing a series of increasingly risky tricks.

However, they soon discover that someone unexpected has made a dangerous deal that could have deadly consequences for all those involved.

Elsewhere, Ruby criticises Sam for wasting his time on a small-town case when Lillith is still at large, warning that the angels will lose the battle if he refuses to help.
