FANTASTIC episode. Gripped me from start to finish. I loved the inclusion of the Torchwood team and Sarah Jane.

It was a great episode but i really hope we won't be getting a new doctor, i love david. i want the doctor and rose to get together, i'm hoping her love for him will stop him regenerating. I really hope Rose returns as his assistant next season so we can say goodbye to Donna!

Mad granny Dalek... wow what can I say!

Well as a Dr Who fan I will say it was terrible episode. There was so much I did not buy, that terrible talking computer of Sarah Janes, the way Harriott contacted people using their computers (would a 5 year old find that in any way beeliveable) and then we get plot points like the bees returning to their home plant (?) .. but the bbiggest prblem for be was that it was all too much and not enough, no one had a satisfying amount of screen time.. and production prblems like the MUSIC BEING LOUD you could not hear the dialogue.. Uggg. Shame on Russel T Davies after some great episodes in this series coming along after a terrible start (Adipose fat babies!!!) and a series where Catherine Tate has taken over as the star to end in this shoddy way... You can't just throw in old villains, lots of shouting and bright special effects, and hope for the best, or perhaps you can from the reviews it is getting !

I've been a fan of the Doctor since the first episode of the first series and I think it's gone down hill during Tennant's reign (not all his fault as some of the stories have been dire). The current whisper of James Nesbitt as the new doctor is interesting. I think he has the intensity to do the part justice as long as he doesn't overplay it.

OMG best ever episode and im sure next weeks will be even better, although its me sisters wedding the same day :-O.....what to do LOL

This episode was really good! But why is everybody getting so worried about David Tennant leaving? BECAUSE HES NOT!! He has already confirmed that he will continue to play the Doctor until 2010. Also, one of the best bits of dialouge frrom Doctor Who so far: Harriet Jones: (holds up card) Harriet Jones. Former Prime Minister. Daleks: Yes. We know who you are.

This was a thrilling episode! I did not see any of this coming. I enjoyed every second and didn't want it to end... good thing we have alot more to come next week!!!! :)

Superb. This show's by far the best thing on TV.
Ben London on June 29th, 2008
Another fantastic episode from RTD, bringing everyone back like that, and the climax was really unexpected! However, it will be interesting to see how the regeneration is handled, and Tennant is confirmed to be starring in next week's episode, and the 2008 xmas special...
Ben Lancashire on June 29th, 2008
This episode should go down as a classic. It was fantastic from start to finish, with some dogy effects in some tiny areas being forgiven instantly as effects everywhere else where superb. The spin off shows colliding into one great army was brilliant and Julian Bleach was spellbounding as Davros. Roll on Journey's End, although like the review says it will struggle to top this episode.
Sophie ,Morpeth on June 29th, 2008
Wow, That was such a fantastic episode. But r we getting a new doctor? Can't wait 2 find out because i love david Tennant. haha
Mark, Newport on June 29th, 2008
DT will be fine - they've made to much of the 'hand in a jar' recently - that was cut off in his first episode. That'll form some part of bringing him back, if I'm right ofc.

What a great episode. 10/10! The only thing missing is K9!
sharon, bo'ness on June 29th, 2008

What's the Crucible? What's the funny key Martha has? Who's Rose's control? What are the planets being moved for? ITS TOO MUCH!!!

Best single DOCTOR WHO episode ever! Let's make sure we take a moment to acknoledge the sheer brilliance of Graeme Harper, a truly masterful WHO director!

What a brillant episode, the best cant wait until next week for last of the series. Daleks at the best.
Anna, Suffolk on June 29th, 2008
Brilliant, beautifully filmed, very engaging. Harriet Jones is up to something I'm sure!
Andrew Ford, Surrey on June 29th, 2008
For the first time, since the show returned in 2005, I really can't wait until next Saturday. I don't believe that we are going to lose DT, for one moment, but how will they resolve the cliffhanger without it being an anti-climax? Good episode, on the whole: The Good? Michael Brandon, Julian Bleach, Torchwood team, Sarah Jane and Luke, Donna and the Noble family, Martha's Mum and mad Dalek Caan. The Bad? A couple of Dodgy effects sequences and the Rose/Doctor Baywatch moment - thankfully undermined by the Doctor being shot. Apart from that? It really was what Saturday nights were made for.

brilliantly written and executed. I love the way so many earlier events and people are utilised in the final plot. I won't be able to concentrate on anything this week until I know what happens in the final. David Tennant must still be the Doctor though because I know that he has already filmed the Christmas Special and has talked about returning to filming in January for the 2009 specials. I can't wait to know how they pull that off. Fantastic!
Danny, Essex on June 29th, 2008
Fantastic - watched it now 6 times over & I still get excited! Has completely erased the vile Manhatten Daleks & how superb to have back the pure Dalek race from the flesh of Davros himself. Off to watch it again in case I missed anything. BTW - What DOES the ring on Donna's finger look like close up?

one hell of a program

Gina leeds on June 29th, 2008
OMG. that is all I can say it was just fantastic. who is the next doctor? because I thought david tennant was the perfect doctor and it seems like he hasnt been on it for long but cant wait for next week. im gonna miss dt on it.
MEL, KENT on June 29th, 2008
what can you possibly say? part one of doctor who i loved with reunited sceens and smiles on faces and in one word emotinal! and some points i had tears in my eyes, although i think it was rather unfair that we dont know who i regenarated in to. i can not see anyone playing doctor who better then david! lets hope nexts weeks is just as good.
steph wolverhampton on June 29th, 2008
Awesome! More twists than a twisty thing on St.Twists day! Humour, mixed with fear and great writing. Knew something would happen with the Doctor and Rose's 'run up' though I thought the road would open up underneath them! But I still don't trust Harriet Jones....and what part will Donna play next week...
Paul, Walthamstow on June 29th, 2008
Fabulous - What else is there to say? I've watched it twice already!
Andy Australia on June 29th, 2008
When will the producers of this show realize that noise and hysteria will never substitute plot and dialogue and that not the entire audience has the mental age of 6. I'm really starting to see why Moffat will be replacing RTD. Such a shame to see all these great actors and cool characters wasted on this rubbish. This show sure aint' what it used to be :(
Kirsty, London on June 29th, 2008
Dear god that was all kinds of awesome!!!
Andy, Skipton, North Yorkshire on June 29th, 2008
So clever! And it seems the news of Davros' return was really kind of a trojan horse hiding even bigger news. The Doctor is to regenerate? Swines! But fantastic swines nonetheless... I won't believe it until we see what happens after all that lightshow from the Doctor's body in the next episode.
julia edinburgh on June 29th, 2008
Seeing everyone back together was great but I wish they had given Rose and the Doctor their moment. Do we have a new doctor could it be the incredible sexy John Sims, who knows.
Julie, Bolton on June 29th, 2008
This is to reply to Helen, yes the Doctor can regenerate, he is the tenth Doctor and the Doctor has 13 lives in total.

Kevj Nottingham on June 29th, 2008
What a glorious episode; full on from the very beginning. I noted right at the start, a lingering shot of the Doctor’s Hand in its Stasis Jar in the Tardis; perhaps this could be the ‘helping hand’ that the Doctor needs to maintain his current body in the Regeneration scene at the end of this episode. After all, he wasn’t hit by the dalek ‘full on’ was he? Good to see the gathering of Companions, and Harriet Jones (Former Prime minister) joining forces to help find the Doctor. Rose finally getting to meet her ‘Man’ again; albeit a tragic meeting, RTD being mischievous as usual; It’s a change from the predictable plot lines that other shows seem to indulge in, and can normally be spotted miles off; true shock value. Julian Bleach as Davros has the evil tone perfectly pitched, looking forward to more of him next week, and the disturbingly crazed Caan manically gabbling away, which only adds to the uncertainty of this audacious attack. Visually a treat; and the Director Graeme Harper has delivered a tension filled episode; he deserves equal praise for keeping in mind the needs of the Audience. Again Donna reminds us that she was a ‘Temp’; and that ‘time beetle’ is still on her back too. I’m still thinking she’s got a lot still to do, and it’s probably not the last of her that we’ll see in the future (but not necessarily in her present form) Definitely a 5 star story, roll on next week!

Best show since Blink...absolutely amazing. I know that time is wibbly wobbly, but DT's doctor can't regenerate-he has yet to meet River Song in this current form.
Stephan, elsewhere on June 29th, 2008
Don't think David is going anywhere. Based on foreshadowing in the show, I think the way things played out will change. After all, it appears Donna still has that thing on her back. Otherwise a lot of fan service.
andy, lydney on June 29th, 2008
to be blunt, absolutely amazing episode, im guessing we are not getting a new doctor as i've read he has been offered £100,000 an episode if he stars in the 5th series! although he may have turned it down.... not likely but still :)
Steve on June 29th, 2008
Split in two or new Doctor, wasnt an very impressive change as of yet was it, although I have heard that special guest star is going to be Patrick Troughtons Grandson............ The plot thickens... Of course, the Doctor could split into two for the parallel universe, or leave.
