Dawkins unhappy with revived 'Who'

Best-selling science writer Richard Dawkins has revealed that he is not a fan of the modern-day Doctor Who, despite appearing in an episode of the show this year.

Dawkins is the husband of Lalla Ward, who played The Doctor's companion Romana in the classic Doctor Who series from 1979 to 1981.

The author was seen making a cameo appearance as himself in 'The Stolen Earth' last month, but he admits having no time for the programme.

"I regard the definitive Doctor Who as the one when Lalla was there," Dawkins told the Radio Times. "I don't have any truck with this modern version."
