Christopher Dean needed emergency medical treatment after slicing his arm in rehearsals for Dancing On Ice.
Coaching partner Jayne Torvill accidentally slashed him with the blade of her skate while the pair were practising their latest routine yesterday.
The Olympic gold medalist, who was unable to skate two weeks ago due to a knee injury, needed stitches for his wound.
He told The Sun: “The blood squirted out like a fountain. But I got patched up and went back on to the ice.”
An insider said: “Paramedics were called and Chris got emergency treatment. It was a shock but he’s fine.”
Michael Underwood was forced to pull out of the ITV1 ice-skating contest in January after breaking an ankle, while Suzanne Shaw suffered a cracked a rib earlier this month.
