Suzanne claims she was shocked she won, right Suzanne. It was obvious when seeing the last 3 remaining contestants that it was between Suzanne and Chris, the question was who would be 1st and who would be 2nd. As I like neither, it really didn't matter to me either way. Zaraah, no matter how well she skated and danced, was NEVER a threat to either of them, the only person in that competition who stood a very good chance of beating them was GARETH, so the judges wanted him gone.

Katie, if Zaraah was a better skater than Gareth, she would not have been in the skate-off 4 times, would she?
Mathew on March 17th, 2008
The judges engineered the finals in favour of Chris & Suzanne, knowing full well that Zaraah would never have been in the running for 1st or 2nd place. I feel cheated by them as I always voted for Gareth. How do we know that the semi-final was not fixed? I'm never voting in these reality shows again, they rip us off time & time again.

No surprise there. In the finals it was obvious that if the public had liked Zaraah she would not have been in the skate-off 4 times, therefore should NOT have been in the finals, she got there through default. It would have been a much better finals had Gareth been in it. I think he would have beaten Chris. With the fact that desperate Suzie was both ballet-trained and did gymnastics, it was little wonder she was better in the air. I bet Chris thought he was going to win, ha ha. Maybe he needed to have been more desperate than cocky.

It was obvious that the finals would be about Chris & Suzanne. It does'nt matter how good Zaarah was she was never a contender and I think the judges knew it, hence they all voted to keep her in knowing that she's not a hit with the public and would therefore not challenge their faves Chris & Suzanne. The finals would have been a competition had Gareth been in it

It's Alan again, just read what I wrote and noticed I made a mistake. It should read she should not have been kept in last Sunday over Gareth as it was obvious she would be the first to go, the public are not keen on her for some reason.

It was obvious that although Zaraah may have been better in the semis than Gareth, who is usually much better, she would NOT have caused any upset to Chris & Suzanne in the finals. In fact, I think she may even have been better than Chris but without the public behind her it means nothing. She was kept in by the judges because they knew that of her and Gareth, he was most likely to have caused major upset to their 2 babies being 1st & 2nd. I thought they were supposed to be professionals and be objective and fair

Just as expected - with no judges to save Zaraah she was the first to go, she didn't get there through public choice and as such she would not have been kept in last Sunday night. It totally confirms that the judges were wrong to have kept her in against the public wishes.

My thoughts exactly, Marionette. Last night's results is proof, as most of us have said all along that Zaraah would be the first to go in the finals and that's exactly what happened. She got to the finals by being saved 4 times by the judges, she didn't get there by the public choice. It was therefore obvious that no matter how well she skated on Sunday night, she would have been the first to go. Chris was good on Sunday but not great, I therefore firmly believe that because we still hadn't seen the best of Gareth, the chances are we would have seen it in the finals and both Suzanne and Chris would have been challenged. By Chris's performance, I think with Gareth not being as heavy as Chris, he would have been much better at flying. From Sunday's outcome, the finals should have been Chris, Suzanne and Gareth. I also think that Gareth, again with being smaller built, would have been better at the Bolero therefore Chris would have been the first to go. The judges got the result they wanted. I'm done with reality TV as they are never fair, it's all a con.

Well just as I thought. Gareth was voted out by the judges last week so as not to jeopardise Suzanne and Chris's chances of 1st and 2nd.

Gareth seems to have a really big fan base.
Michelle, Scotland on March 14th, 2008
Gareth WAS robbed of a place in the finals, the finals will not be as interesting without him. I think he could have caused some upset to the 2 favourites, don't thing Zaraah will. Saw Gareth on This Morning, he looked so greaaaaaat.

Just saw the Sun paper today, which I will not refer to as a "news paper". However I've just read that Jason Gardiner has also agreed that with Chris's previous experience on ice, he does have an advantage which makes the competition unfair. But as always Chris still maintains he does not think he has. I guess he wouldn't. I still believe Gareth should have been in the finals. His routine last Sunday was quite a complex one.
Melanie on March 14th, 2008
Dancing on Ice has not been a fair competition, which makes it a farce. Chris, Suzanne & even Zaraah must surely know that they got this far because of their unfair advantage over all the others, particularly Chris. This is why I think Gareth is TOPS. I think the finals will not be the same without him.
Shirley on March 13th, 2008
Gareth deserved to be in the finals, the judges were sooooooo wrong.
Mel on March 13th, 2008
In the finals, Carol.
Nicola on March 13th, 2008
I think Gareth did great getting to the semi-finals as out of the remaining 3 he was the only one with no skating or dancing experience. I think the show has not been fair, they should all have started at the same point. Only then can you truly judge who is the best. Gareth had the longest journey, starting from zero and getting to the semis is the real winner.
David on March 13th, 2008
I'm sorry Katie, if Zaraah was a better skater she wouldn't have been in the skate-off 4 times.
Lyn, London on March 13th, 2008
I prayed for Gareth too, he didn't answer me either. Maybe he doesn't think Gareth needs DOI, the other 3 need it more.
Robert, London on March 13th, 2008
The judges made the wrong decision.
