Greg Rusedski feels "hurt" by the criticism he has received from Dancing On Ice judge Jason Gardiner.
The tennis ace has been nicknamed "Herman Munster" by acid-tongued Jason, but viewers have shown their support for Greg by voting him through two weeks in a row.
"He does get a bit hurt by Jason's comments," Greg's dance partner Kristina Lenko told The Mirror. "Greg's very gracious, he says, 'The judges are always right and I'll learn from them'. But he gets sad because he's put in so many hours and is bashed down by the judges. Still, the next day he's got his game face on again."
Kristina insisted that Greg is "coming on well", but admitted that teaching him in rehearsals can be frustrating.
"It's challenging as he has no sense of timing or how to dance," she explained. "In the choreography sessions Jayne and Chris show him a really simple move and he tries to copy it. But he's so uncoordinated he gets it wrong - we all cry laughing.
"It's also tough with our height difference. He's 6ft 4in and I'm 5ft 2in, so it's scary when we do lifts because I could fall from 7ft. But when he gets it right it's beautiful, his leg stretches are so long. Greg's a hard worker and we train for six hours a day."
