Week six of this year's Dancing With The Stars saw the remaining eight celebrities and their professional partners attempting either the jive or the rumba.

Here's what the judges had to say:

Ty Murray and Chelsie - Jive

Len: "You have a charm about you, and it's almost as though you're bewildered in a 'what am I doing here?' way. You give it your all and try 100%, which is a great quality and I can see it coming out. Unfortunately, tonight it took a long while to get started and once you did, it wasn't that good." (6)

Bruno: "The line dancing was good and then the jive started and you went for it like a wild animal! You did about 20,000 kicks and flicks but none of them were right. The timing was a bit rough, but I agree with Len, you really are a gentleman." (6)

Carrie-Ann: "That was definitely an exciting jive but unfortunately you showcase the most out of all the competitors that some dances are more suited. You were suited to the foxtrot and then the lindy hop, which was pure athletic aggression - this was kind of in between and I didn't think you found your footing. It was a little tough to watch, but you're still so cute." (6)

Total: 18

Shawn Johnson and Mark - Rumba

Bruno: "That was so beautifully pure that it was almost angelic - the innocent side of romance unfolding in front of me. But, yet again I could see the hint of a devil which is sometimes not bad! You have to push a little bit more on the hip action and that will make it even better." (9)

Carrie-Ann: "I know innocence is a beautiful thing and I think this dance was difficult for you because it called upon you to dig into something that is new to you. I could see the discomfort in your eyes a little bit at the beginning, but Mark, you worked really hard and you brought it out in the second half and I saw it come to life." (8)

Len: "The rumba is a bit like a fire - it can warm and it can burn. Sometimes, for me, the rumba is too hot but I think you've got this just right. I enjoyed the whole performance." (9)

Total: 26

Lawrence Taylor & Edyta - Jive

Carrie-Ann: "You brought your groove back! I am so happy - that was so much more enjoyable to watch. Watching you get out there, having fun, pushing Edyta around. You didn't need the little lift Edyta, but it was a great performance. Great job." (7)

Len: "What I liked was the style of the dance. There was lots of basic movement in there. I always thought you were a very intense person and yet you came out tonight and showed us a lighter side to your personality. I would like a bit lighter in your feet but good job. You carried on from last week and you're hitting a standard now." (7)

Bruno: "Alive and kicking! You were having a good time, your timing was on all the way through, you never lost count. That was your best performance to date." (8)

Total: 22

Melissa Rycroft & Tony - Rumba

Len: "It was clean, precise and it had very interesting choreography which I liked very much. If I was to criticise it at all, it could have been a bit more earthy because every one of your dances has a balletic look. Each dance has a character of its own and you need to break away from the balletic. But, great job and you're a fabulous dancer." (9)

Bruno: "You're so voluptuous and so exotic and your body can assume the most incredible shapes with such ease! What I want to see in the future is Melissa the maneater - go for it, because you have everything to gain. Fabulous." (9)

Carrie-Ann: "What really impressed me was the emotional quality that you brought to it. I believed every minute of the passion oozing from your centre and core. I have one comment for you to work on though - your Cuban motion, don't be afraid to sustain those movements because everything else is there." (9)

Total: 27

Lil' Kim and Derek - Jive

Bruno: "I am guilty of love in the first degree! You rocked! It was fabulous!" (10)

Carrie-Ann: "That was amazing. I don't know how you do it but you bring such pizazz. Derek, that was fantastic choreography - it was just mind-blowing, amazing." (10)

Len: "It was fun, it had energy but I think you got carried away with the history of 'Jailhouse Rock' and it lacked a lot of jive. It was a tad theatrical - what was on the label wasn't in the tin. It's a jive and what came out was a theatrical performance. As good as it was, I didn't consider it a ballroom jive. But you did a great job on what you did." (8)

Steve-O and Lacey - Rumba

Carrie-Ann: "There is something oddly mesmerising about watching you dance. I was totally taken in and on a serious note, it's your commitment and the way you approach this with such honesty, are so vulnerable to these dances, it's a beautiful thing to watch. Yes, we still need to work on your grace but I really thought that it was a long way from last week." (7)

Len: "Well, you can't confuse movement with dancing. There was no hip action, no footwork and it was no good. I can't be kind - it was no good." (4)

Bruno: "You have the charm of a confused puppy, all awkward moments and hesitancy and of course, people respond to that. But, the dancing is bad." (5)

Total: 16

Gilles Marini and Cheryl - Jive

Len: "You showed a lot of the qualities that you want to see in the jive - very nice, quick, slick foot work but it's a pity that you went a little bit wrong in one of the steps right in front of me. And again, I found the whole thing a little bit frantic - it had a wildness about it." (8)

Bruno: "Talk about fast and furious! Any faster and you would have achieved the speed of light! I'm telling you, you really put 110% into everything you do and this was another great performance. But, Len is right, there was a mistake and because of the speed you tend to lose sharpness and look like a mad squirrel! You need to get it under control." (9)

Carrie-Ann: "What's nice about you is that, not only can you do sexy, but you can do showy too. There was something weird going on with your arms tonight. A shoulder injury? Well you were able to bring your arms out in the other moves so try and find a happy medium to save your shoulder." (9)

Total: 26

Chuck Wicks and Julianne - Rumba

Bruno: "I'll have some more that please! You switched on the raunch factor, Mr and Mrs Wicks! You really have got something and you have to hold on to it. Technically, it's not perfect - your foot work needs to be more precise - but this is definitely a step in the right direction." (8)

Carrie-Ann: "That was definitely the most passionate, sexy number, but Bruno is right - you need to work a little bit more on your technique. But, great job, very sexy." (8)

Len: "For me, parts of that were more suitable for the bedroom than the ballroom. You are a real problem for me, because you do some great lines, then some poor lines. Sometimes you look a bit mechanical which I don't like, then you look a little bit animal which I do like. The overall thing I didn't like, was that this was a little bit too much in my face and a little bit too raunchy." (7)
