The free-to-air TV version of radio station TalkSport will move to a different Sky EPG position next week following its sale to a betting channel run by bookmaker William Hill.
TalkSport TV currently timeshares from 4pm until 10pm each day with Get Lucky TV on EPG number 235. From Monday (February 14th) the service will appear daily on William Hill's Channel 425 between 4pm and 7pm after the bookmaker bought the format on a one year contract for an undisclosed sum.
Bill Ridley, programme director at TalkSport radio, told The Guardian: "It shows the experiments and testing we did have paid off. We got the content and the look of it right and now we are in a position to market it and sell it both here and abroad."
"There is a lot of interest in the Premiership and we believe it will push on the TalkSport brand."
Wireless Group owned TalkSport has now dropped its application to BSkyB for a 24-hour broadcasting licence. Mr Ridley said that a round the clock channel was still an option but TalkSport would stay on Channel 425 for the foreseeable future.
