Very nice piece of kit, and very quiet. Superfast remote response and tuner gives better signal than previous box. No failed recordings. Yet to upgrade to 500gb hard drive.

Hi. Just had a 14 month old failed "Hair Dryer" Thomson replaced by a Pace PVR3 the difference is amazing. Whisper quiet and much faster on reacting to the remote instructions. 10 out of 10. I have also just bought a 2nd Pace PVR3 in the multi-room set up, this one is in my kids bedroom (aged 6) because it’s important that it is not noisy.

Excellent, keeps itself cool and will easily keep working in a glass fronted cabinet etc........

have had a V3 box for a couple of months now. works fine except 1 Sky+ features say 'please wait' and a reboot is required to clear this, happens at least once a week, im hoping this is a sofware bug. 2 Although this unit has same drive size as my upgraded V1 box, holds much less recording time. 3 Tried to upgrade the harddrive to a larger sixe, butit would not even power up the drive, just clicked, drive powered up fine in my V1 box.

Had my original sky+ for 11 months with no problems untill Sky did their software updade in late Dec then just kept getting "no sat signal" messages they changed the box in Jan and now its stuck in standby sounds like the hard drive is just turning over and over, well with Irish sky service will be about 3 weeks to get it sorted.

I got my Amstrad box replaced for a Pace box, I find it better working. It's a tiny but quieter but not much.

I had my amstrad replaced by SKY for a PACE as the amstrad had so many problems. The PACE by comparison is so quiet, I have to check it is on! Seems to be a great box.

Have had the Pace PVR3 for several weeks and so far so good other than a couple glitches. Mine is the standard model that has an 80Gb drive but only 40Gb is available to record onto (for the time being). There are USB ports on it that are reserved for future use, maybe. The machine is very quiet, no fan noise and a faint whir from the hard drive but almost silent even when listening very close. Fast menus and great image playback and live tv. Had 2 glitches where the Sky+ features say 'please wait' and a reboot is required to clear this, a couple of other forum members have had this too. On the whole it's a great box and am pleased with it.

Superb - no major problems - even with all the latest updates...

Our firsy Sky+ box was a v2, we had 4 of them and it ultimately died. 3 months later, we v3 on a new subscription and apart from a few lockups, we have been very pleased!

Box working great. Had it for 8 weeks now and no significant problems. Crashed a few times initially, but since the latest update I have had no problems.

Had my Pace box since beginning of Nov. Excellent piece of kit. Only one crash and I think that was my fault (finger trouble), rectified itself in a couple of mins. Would not be without it. No failed recordings.

I've had my PVR3 box since it was first out and I've had no problems at all with it, I wouldn't trade this is in at all. I also know a lot of my friends who haven't had any issues.

This is the best box by far, would live without it.

I have had my PVR3 for over 6 weeks now. Not a single crash or failed recording. It has received the latest update which put the new background and PIN controls. I did have a problem with the incorrect record time for programs set after the clock change, but a simple delete and reset fixed it. Just waiting for guarentee to expire then will put 250GB drive in it.

Had mine just over a month now, took the 160GB Seagate drive out (now in my V1 box) & fitted a Western Digital 250GB. The day after the last software update I managed to crash it whilst scrolling through the EPG (dropped into standby). Left it a couple of mins then it all came back, otherwise a pleasure to use.

Box itself is great. No failed recordings, thankfully. The one downfall, which seems to have resulted from the latest software download, is that everytime I use either the red button, or the Skytext, it automatically resets the settings on the box: eg I have it set for 16:9 broadcasting and on-screen icon to disappear, but as soon as I use red button the box resets to 4:3 broadcasting and won't get rid of the red dot.

Forget it. Nothing but trouble with the HD.
