BSkyB 'mulling bid' for HomeChoice

Triple-play provider HomeChoice is thought to be the next target in Sky's assault on the broadband market.

According to various reports, the satellite operator is "considering" a bid for the company, which has recently posted a loss of £46.5 million.

A fortnight ago, Sky acquired broadband firm Easynet for £221 million and just yesterday announced a tie-up with mobile operator Vodafone to launch a new 3G TV service. In all, Sky has around £1 billion to spend on getting a foothold in the triple play market.
