200 people from West Cumbria lined up outside the Comet store in Workington last weekend to exchange their video recorder for a new Freeview Playback set top box.

The first 100 in the queue - which started forming in the early hours - received a free Humax 9200-T after depositing their VCR box in an amnesty bin, while subsequent customers were able to pick up the Freeview Playback box with a 10% discount.
