The creditors, which include the likes of BSKyB and the Football League, believe the board had access to shared information and knew about the trouble the company was in well before administrators Deloitte & Touche were called in.
One lawyer told the newspaper: "Almost half of the directors of ITV Digital were board directors of Carlton and Granada, which leaves you asking what did they know and when did they know it?"
A meeting of the creditors revealed ITV Digital collapsed with debts of over £1.2bn, and at least one creditor said he had not been paid since November -- four months before the adminsitrators were drafted in.
An ITV source denied the allegations. "ITV Digital was attempting to negotiate with the creditors in an open and transparent way. Carlton and Granada funded the business right the way through to the end of the administration."
