Manufacturers and retailers have been told not to sell Freesat-badged set top boxes until the official launch date of May 6. However, some appear to have reached customers and the services available as of April 27 have been listed on the Digital Spy Freesat forum.
So far, 72 services are listed in the EPG, and this number includes some BBC regional channels and radio stations. The selection is small compared to the vast quantity of free to air satellite TV channels available in the UK to viewers with existing digital satellite receiver equipment including that provided by Sky.
