The latest software download does activate the low batt warning but if you have not got this then the info below will show you how.....
Press and hold the vol + / - (plus/minus) button on the minus position.
Before releasing ensure that you watch the front panel of the digibox carefully.
Release your finger off the - (minus) button and check if a red remote command light flashed on the front panel of the digibox at the point you released your finger:-
If a light came on then the digibox is indicating that the batteries are too low. (Change the batteries within 8 minutes of removing the old ones, the remote control settings should still be okay)
If a light did not come on then either:-
The batteries are okay (Operates Sky functions ok i.e. Sky Guide, Services etc. but perhaps not volume on TV . If no TV operation then refer to remote programming script. )
or
The batteries are so low that they are not supplying any power at all to the Remote Control. (Check that the red light at the front of the remote control is flashing each time a button is pressed.) If it is believed that the batteries are completely dead then not only will they need to be replaced but the remote control will also need to be reset.
