Sky is to launch a third general entertainment station on its digital service, it has been reported.
The new channel follows the speedy success of Sky One Mix -- a companion to the flagship Sky One launched last month -- which has helped boost ratings by 4.5%.
"We're pleased with its progress, since it launched it has increased the combined ratings for it and Sky One itself," a Sky spokesman told BBC News Online.
Plans for the as-yet untitled station are still in the works, but its lineup is expected to feature re-airings of existing Sky One programmes as well as brand new shows.
Meanwhile, the spokesman denied reports that the new channel was being designed for digital terrestrial service Freeview.
"We have three channels on Freeview already, Sky News, Sky Sports News and Sky Travel, and we're happy with those at the moment," he said.
