Responding to rumours that Eurosport will launch imminently on the UK's digital terrestrial television service Freeview, Eurosport today told Digital Spy: "We have been in discussions with Crown Castle Management regarding DTT, but at the moment there are no plans to launch the channel on Freeview."

In recent weeks, a number of rumours have been circulating on the Internet with regards to various channels apparently about to appear on the DTT platform; the topic has been extensively discussed in our digital terrestrial forum.

Earlier in the month, Turner Broadcasting responded to the rumours by telling Digital Spy that "no decision" had yet been taken on a possible launch of channels on Freeview. More details here.
