ITV has obtained the terrestrial coverage rights to England's Euro 2004 qualifier against Turkey.

The match, which will be shown live on Sky Sports, will be tape-delayed on ITV1. A transmission time has yet to be confirmed, although the network is expected to finalise coverage plans within "the next couple of days."

ITV's Controller of Sport, Brian Barwick, said:

"We’re delighted to be able to provide terrestrial viewers with the opportunity to watch coverage of such a key England match and play our part in ensuring as many viewers see it as possible.

"Our coverage of Turkey v England becomes the final piece in an exciting weekend of top sporting action on ITV, which also sees England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales begin their Rugby World Cup campaigns, and the fascinating conclusion to one of the most exciting Formula 1 championships for years with Michael Schumacher aiming to win a record sixth world title."
