ONdigital could lose a fifth of its subscribers in the next year, according to a report in The Independent.
Leading market analyst Neil Blackley has predicted that the number of subscribers who do not renew their subscriptions will rise from the current 4% to 20%. He claims the reason for this is due to the high number of '12-month deals' offered throughout last year coming to an end.
Such a loss would make it difficult for the company to reach its target of 2 million subscribers by the end of next year, and would put doubts over the planned £2 billion flotation in the next few months.
