The company behind Nation277 is planning to launch another four channels within the next year.

The live presenter-led 'phone-in' entertainment channel has already been broadcasting on Sky Digital for a few weeks but will formally launch on November 26.

Headed by C4's former strategy boss David Brook, The Optimistic Network will follow up Nation277 with SportNation early next year.

"SportNation will not be trying to do things that terrestrial TV already does well. It will be looking to provide coverage for fans which is of a complementary nature," Brook told Broadcast this week.

An additional three channels will launch in 2004.
