Unconfirmed reports from the Alpha Gaming forums and also mentioned within our own Digital Spy forums suggest that the Game Network channel is soon to shutdown its UK aimed feed.

Several months back the channel, currently available to Sky Digital viewers on EPG #223, shutdown its UK office and replaced its UK feed with its Italian output.

An email sent to a forum member of Alpha Gaming from Game Network's Italian office says:

"Our company is finding it difficult to raise capital and is unable to keep up with the salarys of presenters and cost of programming. With this in mind, Game Network will stop airing in all country's outside of Italy shortly ater the new year."

As to when this shutdown of the Astra 2 feed will occur is unknown.
