ntl's new off-net ADSL service, which Digital Spy sources say will launch on July 1, will be priced at £27.99.

The service will become part of ntl's "Freedom" portfolio of products that are offered to households located outside of the cable operator's franchise areas. Marketing documents obtained by Digital Spy indicate that the £27.99 service will not include any free calls, unlike the Freedom Classic offering. All voice usage will be charged under the 3-2-1 pricing scheme, with a 5p connection charge and per-minute billing.
