DSL TV provider HomeChoice has launched a specially designed remote control for children to use.

The new remote only allows access to those channels deemed suitable for viewing by parents. The new remote, named the 'MiniMote', will be available free-of-charge to subscribers whose package includes the providers range of children channels.

'MiniMote' is a brightly coloured unit designed to protect underage viewers from accessing unsuitable channels, such as those with an adult theme. Users are restricted to channels including Boomerang, Nickelodeon, CBeebies and CBBC.

The unit will also allow users to access HomeChoice's interactive children's services, such as Scamp and Disney Treasures.
