Details emerged today on Hauppauge's new DEC-1100-t box, priced at £79.99.
The new box supersedes the DEC-1000 model. Hauppauge said today that the new box "enhances reception," in part due to the inclusion of "Pulse Killer technology" that aims to reduce picture breakup due to electrical interference. A new chipset from Philips provides "superior picture quality," Hauppauge claims.
"We have chosen the next generation chipset which offers the best price to
quality ratio," said Bernd Schoen, Hauppauge's Global business development
Manager. "The new Philips chipset provides enhanced picture quality: Pulse
Killer technology reduces picture breakup caused by electrical 'noise';
enhanced echo cancellation boosts reception clarity. In addition, a Fast
Scan feature has been introduced to seek available stations when the
DEC-1100-t is first switched on."
