Telewest's Teleport launches in Bristol

Rollout of Telewest's new VOD service continued today with the launch of Teleport to some 90,000 homes in Bristol and Bath.

"Teleport has arrived in Bristol and it's genuinely going to change the way people watch TV," said Eric Tveter, president and chief operating officer at Telewest Broadband.

"The schedule normally dictates what we watch, but our customers will have the choice and convenience of a service that they can tailor - it's TV on their terms."

Teleport first launched to customers in Cheltenham and Gloucester in June; other regions will follow through 2005.
