Telewest has launched a new VOD music service for the estimated one million homes able to access Teleport.
'Teleport Music' offers customers a library of over 500 music videos, including new releases and popular classics, as well as concerts from the likes of Atomic Kitten and biographies on artists such as Coldplay. Videos cost 40p a shot, while concerts and biographies are £1.50. Once purchased, subscribers can watch as many times as they like within a 24-hour window.
"[This] marks a further significant expansion in the range of entertainment available to all Telewest TV customers," said Philip Snalune, director of product management and marketing at Telewest. "Unlike mainstream broadcast channels, Teleport music gives our customers instant access to music videos and programmes - it's just like having a video jukebox in your TV".
