BSkyB has appointed Ian Lewis as director of Sky Movies and Sky Box Office.

Reporting into Sophie Turner Laing, who became BSkyB's MD of entertainment in February, Lewis will be responsible for Sky’s new genre-based range of subscription movie channels as well as its pay-per-view service, Sky Box Office.

Sky's revised movie offering, which sees content divided into genres, officially launches on April 4.
