Sky has relaunched its Anytime on PC video on demand offering as a web application offering content from a variety of third party channels.
The service was first made available last year as a downloadable application. The new Flash-based web application will allow Sky to deep link its video on demand content from other websites.
"At Sky we have moved into a multi-platform world in which we put the power in the hands of the customers to define what, when and how they watch," said Sky's on demand director Griff Parry. "Sky continues to innovate and the content and service enhancements to Sky Anytime on PC are a reflection of this. We know that our customers want the best entertainment experience across platforms and Sky Anytime on PC continues to offer the breadth and depth of content that matters to them."
Content from National Geographic Channel, Nat Geo Wild, The History Channel, The Biography Channel and Crime & Investigation Network has been added to the service in a move described as building "upon Sky’s core strength as an aggregator of multi-channel content". Programming from Sky Real Lives and Sky News will also be added soon.
