Casualty - Just to watch how Josh dies when...

Haven't watched Casualty in ages, the episodes that i watch to see Josh's final days when i hear weird background music and slow motion and reversing effects ...WTF !!!

Is there something that i have missed? lol

Alpha-Sun2 23-12-2006 21:27

The mother from hell!

I've not watched much in the past few weeks as I thought the standard had dropped so low but was quite impresed tonight. When did the actress playing Ellen learn to act? Excellent tonight.

mikehadfield 23-12-2006 22:25

Excellent episode tonight. Thought the way of telling the story from 3 different perspectives was a very effective touch.

Seeing the same bits from different angles and views was very unusual - but worked in giving the episode a very special feel.

I was so shocked to see Josh in his final moments ....and I agree ...a great programme tonight, the best for quite a while.

 Aww now you've told me Josh dies.. I didn't know, he was alive at the end of the episode *sniff*

It's lucky I'm in the Christmas spirit... and stopped watching casualty years ago. ;)

There was bugger all else on tonight tho.

No cause theshow is dire, crap, pointless, boring full of very sad sacks and muppets with deer caught in the headlights look

I loved tonight's Casualty. It was top-class. :) I do watch Casualty very regularly though, so I do stay up-to-date with the current storyline.

I can't wait for the next episode this evening.

Shuttermaze 24-12-2006 08:31

I caught the last 20 mins of casualty. I've not watched it in years. I'm going to have to tune in again now to find out what happens to that awful mother and her daughter. Will Josh be found and pull through................................... or not!!

kym86reeves 24-12-2006 12:45

I don't think Josh does die, i think someone else does

ricky77 24-12-2006 13:11

I haven't watched Casualty in years either....used to watch it a fair bit when I was a kid as I loved the blood and gore, but then went off it..

Saw the first episode in ages last week (the one with the politician) and thought it was great, yesterday's was even better!!! Definately loved the multiple viewpoint method, and clever that you could see things out of the corner of your eye for one person that would have a really big impact on others!!! Hope Casualty keeps this standard.

So what is wrong with the mad woman? Does she have sczhophrenia? (Yes, I can't spell the word) And why is making her kid so ill?

I believe that it is

Munchausen's Syndrome by Proxy

chocoholic92 24-12-2006 14:35

In her Daily Express interview, Georgina Bouzova hinted that:

spoiler:
Ellen's cancer hasn't returned, she definitely doesn't die and that she might be pregnant

I thought this, but all the changes in her face made me think about the schizophrenia. Maybe she has both? Or maybe she is just evil?!

Apart from many of the signs being there (loving the attention, secretly administering a hypodermic containing an unspecified drug, the child being aware of things but told not to say anything) it has also been mentioned on another thread. ;)

sjcuk2006 24-12-2006 18:01

gerry d 24-12-2006 18:29

I only tuned in last night to see what happened to Josh because i had read something about it in the paper.I will be watching tonight.

I hope Charlie finds out that his son was lying about Josh hitting him.

imno12u 24-12-2006 18:32

It was a fantastic episode last night. First time in ages that I watched the show and felt that the characters personal issues actually added to the story.

Alpha-Sun2 24-12-2006 21:18

awwww, poor Ellen

it really is a hard day for the Casualty team!

fleet 24-12-2006 21:22
