Eastenders Two hander episodes

There have been many over the years

What has been your fave and which of todays characters would you like to see in one in the future?

My all time fave is Sharon learning about Vicki being Dens daughter from Michelle back in 1989

Of todays cast, id like to see a two hander after the fallout from stax with any combo of Max and Tanya, Bradley and Stacey

I don't know about the best, but the worst was Dot and Ethel sitting drinking tea and smoking during a rain storm talking about the war for the whole episode.... And much as the two characters were superb, it was the most tedious episode ever!

I've never been a massive fan of the two-handers. I always feel a little bit cheated by them!

As for the future, I can imagine one between Sean and Jean (or posibly a three-hander, with Stacey included too). That would at least shed some more light on Sean's issues with his parents.

I would also love to see a three hander with Sean, Stacey & Jean.

Rob did say in a recent interview, we will learn more about his hatred for Jean.

The two handers drive me to drink. They are so boring.

I have a huge dislike for two hander episodes.

I hope they never do it again. LOL

I love two hander episodes. I would like to see one with Ian and Dot, reflecting on the past, showing us clips from the good old days

The one with Den and Angie was the best and I have to disagree with the poster who slated the Dot and Ethel two hander, that was poignant TV at its very best.

With the right characters and the right storylines, two-handers are great. Some of them can be tedious but it depends on the characters used.

I thought the Kat/Zoe two-hander episodes in 2001 were the best. I think that was probably the best week of episodes in EE history.

I also loved the Dot/Ethel one.

Didn't Dot and Den have a really good one not too long ago where Dot announced her Cancer?

Or were others in that episode too?

I don't really like the two-hander episodes because they usually seem to consist of two characters arguing the same points round and round, then talking reasonably, then arguing again. Also, the events of these episodes tend to have been forgotten by the next episode.

I totally agree here - fantastic episodes, so emotional

The acting was brilliant by Jessie and Michelle but mostly Jessie

I don't think you can beat the Pat/Peggy episode, directly followed by the Roy/Frank episode.

I personally prefer episodes where there is a small handful of the cast. Two-handers can get a bit boring if they are not done properly.

¬ Kat telling Zoe she was her Mum.

¬ Grant finding out Phil slept with Sharon and Phil confronts Grant about it (it wasn't strictly just them 2 in that ep. but its all I remember of it).

I just can't watch 'Enders anymore... it will never be that good again.

Of course it will be that good again. It already has been.

Its like saying Corrie will never be as good as Richard Hillman.

I seem to remember a particularly awful one between Dot and Sonia not too long ago.

I remember in Eastenders a few years ago there was an episode set during the night and everyone was in bed talking to each other. The couples in the square had mini two-handers, but the only characters I can remember in the episode were Sam and Andy so I think it was sometime near their wedding.
