So disappointed tonight, really felt they deserved better than 3rd
i feel like young males get an easier ride in these things. We could get a really good looking guy singing a pile of pish and still win, whilst people like this - who are genuine and work so hard- never win. its a shame

hope they get signed with someone who will take them seriously and give them a good chance to be successful, as im sure they can be.

I've been banished from the Rhydian thread. Can I get a hug and an update? What's this I hear about record deals?

Really expected them to come second, was shocked when they were out third

*hug* For warm and happy fluffiness (where the hell were the puppies tonight that's what I want to know!) you've come to the right place!

Couple of rumours about possible deals - one from Simon and another with Disney (unless that's something different like a tv show or something )

Same Difference world domination beckons!

They'd do great in a disney movie of some kind or a TV show, LOL - they're in their prime when they get to perform, though they can definitely 'just sing' too.

And *waves* hey to everyone else. Don't think I posted in here before, until now I stayed in the Rhydian appreciation thread. SD were always my second favourite, kinda ashamed that I didn't vote for them tonight

Your more than welcome in here Psychosis

I can see them having a TV show a bit like SClub7 did and release songs on the back of that. I honestly think they could become the success story of this years show.

Awake early after crying myself to sleep (j/k!! ).

I still feel gutted with that result though. Major kudos to Sean & Sarah for the wonderful way in which they took it as well. (Not that you would have expected anything less than complete graciousness from them).

Loved Sarah's little 'Oscar speech' thanking virtually everyone in the whole world, and Sean ribbing her for it.

How soon before we hear what Simon's got lined up for them? I need to know, lol!

NOOOOO WAAAAAAYYYYY!

Catherine Jenkins was the worst performer of the night. I have never heard her before and would never like to hear her again. I can not abide opera, it seems so unnatural. I think she stopped some people picking up the phone for Rhydian. I would have liked to see him doing one of his more upbeat numbers. He was too samey tonight.

Morning SD fans - I am a refugee from the Rhydian thread and I just wanted to say that if anyone had to beat Rhydian I would rather it had been Same Difference, at least they can sing in tune and have stage presence.

You've probably discussed this before but what do you think Simon whispered to Sarah after they had been eliminated?

I wish Sarah and Sean luck for the future

I was annoyed when they came third, but Rhydian not winning made me feel better about it

Thank you for your kind words d0lphin, I know you must be gutted this morning as well.

I didn't actually notice Simon whispering to Sarah (was probably too busy wailing, gnashing my teeth and rending my garments ). Hopefully it was something reassuring about this not being the end of his association with them.

Both Rhydian and SD have delivered polished, professional and entertaining performances week on week and I reckon both would be a joy to work with. Onwards and upwards for both acts - they have a lot of good things coming their way, and deservedly so.

I'm gutted SD came second, but THIS IS NOT THE END!

It's merely the beginning. Of all the acts this year, they will go the furthest. Such talent, such grace, such popularity!

Last night they proved that they have what it takes to be recording artists. What's great is that they don't take themselves seriously, and they relish every second that they have as performers.

If you read this, SD, keep going, and you'll become STARS!

They came third.

When they went out, I wanted Rhydian to win and my whole family shrieked "WHAT?" when Leon was announced the winner.

Shocking result - totally shocking.

deep down everyone knows same diference and rhydian were superior to leon.this is fact but a lot of people were living in cuckoo land.realisation will eventually set in nothing against leon as a person but bloody hell he will have to do better than we heard on x factor.

Great post, I agree with every word. Even after they had been eliminated, they were upbeat and grateful and gracious. They obviously love what they do immensely and that conveys itself to the audience. I can't wait to see them performing on the XF tour.

I totally agree - I kind of feel relieved that they came a galant third, rather than win and get abuse. Although SD were my favourite, I always thought that Rhydian probably deserved to win.

It was great to watch the show with my two best friends who have also supported Sarah since she was young. Sarah sang 5 song for the 3 of us just before she left the school and it was amaaaaziiinnggg.

We loved the first song, felt that Sean looked a little left out of the second part of ADWD and were disappointed that they have not lengthened their performance of Breaking Free or added anything to the staging of song.

But saying all of that they were the entertainers on the night. The show would have been boring without them. They will have a bright future and now I am relieved that they will not have the ghost of being the winners of X factor haunting them. They will be able to break free and soar to new heights and prove to the grumpy old man that they are the most all round talented act this year!! I think SD and Rhydian will have a lmuch onger career than Leon.

I think SD will be fine, there is a career ahead for them and Rhydian.

I didn't expect them to win but was gutted that they didn't come second and amazed Rhydian didn't win.

They made me laugh on the Xtra Factor, Sarah going on and on with her thankyous only for Sean to chip in with 'we didn't win Sarah!'

Glad you enjoyed your evening in spite of the result Ascat. It must give you and your friends tingles watching someone you've tutored doing so brilliantly.

I loved the first performance - great start to the show and no other act could have pulled it off such good vocals under those conditions. I was surprised ADWD wasn't a bit more 'showy' tbh, but at least Sarah got to sing more of it than last time (and to cutch up to JD too ).

I had expected the flying to be used in the Breaking Free performance and I would have preferred grown-up dancers rather than kids again, so overall it wasn't as eye-catching as Week 2.

I definitely agree about their prospects now, alongside Rhydian. Leon has an uphill battle and a bit of a millstone around his neck unfortunately. I'm honestly glad they didn't win and put themselves in the firing line of some of the things being said out there <-----------

Sarah & Sean have a lot of goodwill and a huge potential fanbase out there who want to see more of them. (But first of all they deserve a well-earned rest and a wonderful family Christmas at home).

An interesting point on another thread was that Leon got to sing a brand new song with his star performer whereas the other 2 acts didn't.

ADWD has to be my least favourite song choice of the live shows and although I was trying to create a PMA on the thread this week about Jason Donovan, he was a poor choice. Shame they couldn't have roped in the guy who fronts Scissor Sisters, Mika or S Club 7 to be their stars.
