Quality is not a factor that comes into play but he made one exception with Leona as he felt she had the look that appealed to americans. Leon obviously only appeals to middle earth so wont get the same breaks or money spent on him.

I do think this time over Xmas will give Rhydian a breathing space to really think what he wants and broker a better deal.

Very fair point. Apart from your Middle Earth comment.

I was genuinely delighted that Leon was in the final. I was delighted with his first three performances and when he made it through, I thought 'Great....we'll hear him do the winner's song'.

Up until then, due, to a) the bookies b) some media and c) apparent support as demonstrated on DS, I had accepted that Rhyd would win. Fine, all I wanted was a record deal for Leon.

However, upon hearing the winner's song...and then Rhyd's....Leon was clearly the winner, IMO. Also, Leon wanted it....who am I to refute that?

I'm happy for the lad.....he seems to be genuine and good natured. Great, he's won. I didn't need that. However, judging by the extremity of some people's reactions at Rhydian's loss, perhaps Rhydian winning was more personal for them.

I was voting for Leon and couldn't get through easily at all.

Constant engaged tones...and when it was just Leon and Rhyd....I got through only 3 times. Engaged, blank....no noise and the automated message about a fault (of course at that point, I was saying 'FIX' to myself ).

So....it is NOT just Rhydian fans who could not get through. It was a nightmare getting through for Leon.

Who are we to judge who'll be around next year and who won't? I'm sorry... I didn't realise that I was in a forum with a group of mystic megs

And just for the record... I voted for Leon on saturday and it took me several attempts to get through because the 'busy' tone coming up... so its not just Rhydian fans that couldn't get through!

I won't be buying Leon's single. Rhydian's version was better and more emotional.

Leon will probably continue to be successful, in scotland.

I have been irritated and bored by the spiteful and lame anti Rhydian and anti Leon OPs that have been spouting up. I have to admit that this one does at least have a bit of wit about it.

I echo that. It's awful, isn't it? The worst winner's song so far.

Alot of people that voted would probably quite like Leon in their xmas stocking, just leave the single behind. His looks got him alot of votes I'm sure.

Ryhian will definately be the one to be around for a long time. He's already being signed up to play Phantom of the Opera next year by ALW according to the metro today so whose the winner now. Ryhian has got from the show what he wanted. He's always wanted to be a performer and now he's been given the chance to prove thats what he can be.

Not really, it captures in a phrase what I was going to spend ten lines explaining.
