When I saw the trailers for EB realised that we'd been down in Cornwall on those beaches only last week - what with the Doc and EB Cornwall's the place to be sooo wish I was back there! |

Some of EB is filmed in Looe on the South coast which is nowhere near Port Isaac but the beach scenes are filmed at Watergate bay near Newquay which is about half an hour's drive

Actually thats a lie...SATC! Could we have a Carrie/Mr Big type storyline in DM? Like Louisa meets a mysterious foreigner and leaves Portenn, but she isnt happy in her new circumstances. Her friends tell Martin to 'go get her back' (like the girls tell Big) and he turns up, and ends up punching the other bloke and getting the girl

Just been reading last night's posts. Glad the script's coming along BG. Because they left each other sort of "mutually" there is no convenient big showdown scenario, so something small that acts as the trigger would be so appropriate, or perhaps yet another of their misunderstandings (or series of) to kick the argument off?PLEASE PLEASE can we have a happy ending to VS4? |

the whole of W an M are on the way now to me from play.com. i'm avoiding your spoilers and will close my eyes to all non-seat belt wearing. still very annoying, though. i even get annoyed in real life with people. it's none of my business but it would def. go into my room 101! ![]() BG, please let me read your script when you are done. i would love to have a look at it. haven't looked at my one from ages ago yet. regarding happy endings, SR, i have decided that we'll never get a marriage out of lg/doc - that is false hope - but, we may get a mysterious closing of the doc's doorway - with both of 'em on the other side. that might be the best i could hope for from last episode of real series 4. it's open-ended and doesn't claim that the doc has turned into a completely different person! he'll never be that kind vet from all creatures great and small. |

Good morning all.
I hav'nt posted any messages for a while but I am very pleased to see that the thread is alive and kicking. Yesterday we purchased the Doc Martin soundtrack CD, it is perfect for playing in the car and brings back so many memories. We also got the film 'Saving Grace' in which Martin first played a doctor in Port Isaac, whilst the film was ok we could'nt see even a trace of Doc Martin in the character played by Martin. Has anyone else see Saving Grace and what did you think of it? |

i thought brenda bletyne (spelling!) was very good as usual - it is even more odd in the context of craig ferguson has now got his own american chat show after dave letterman on american TV. it's a bit like seeing j ross in a movie about drugs! if brenda wasn't in it i wouldn't have bought it really. MC as dr martin bramford is completely different character - only the name is similiar.
