Quite a long list actually from cheapo little sets, DABs to Icom and Yaesu ham radio sets.

IC-735 is also excellent for broadcast DX listening .. 100 kHz to 30 MHz.

http://www.rigpix.com/icom/ic735.htm

These look quite good.. 5kHz to 3335 Mhz. Only about £9000 ..

I have 4 of my own but have access to 6 in total, lol. Nothing fancy though.

Mine:
Micro hi-fi: FM, MW, DAB
Cassette/radio Walkman: FM, MW
MP3 Walkman: FM. This radio is really good for its tiny size!
My new mobile: FM

My parents':
Another micro hi-fi: FM, AM
Car radio: FM, MW, LW

I also sometimes used my mum's really old cassette player/radio that had FM, MW, LW and SW. Not sure if we've still got it; if we have, it's probably in the shed.

From time to time I also listen to internet radio via my Bush internet radio. I also as posted above I was listening to Kigdom FM for 2 hours this afternoon and it was via my two year old Sony Mini Hi-Fi.

I actually took this pic of my Intempo GX-01.

Also have a Sony XDR-S55, battery life is bloody awful.

I rarely use my Roberts robi anymore though, mainly use the Internet Radio, or listen to Capital on my iPod Touch via WiFi.

Got an Intempo DAB, use that most of the time, but has annoying habit of dropping out from BBC5Live. I have to select another channel, switch back and wait for it to retune. Aerial is at maximum extension.

Also got a Sony DAB Clock radio, reception good but not easy to switch stations (no preset buttons).

Also listen to Freeview and Virgin Media stations through the TV. I prefer radio to TV much of the time.

That is interesting because the reason i ask is that having tried a few ONKYO all in one micro systems....the radio seems to be the weakest part of thier systems and i had difficulty picking up radio 1 on FM in stereo whearas other cheaper models had no difficulty at all.

Not sure about the seperate(s) tuners, just going by their mini systems.

I have one of these:
http://astore.amazon.co.uk/ukdabinfo...ail/B00009QH7X (that description relates to the DR201 though, so you might want to look here instead)

It's a great little unit - after a couple of software updates anyway - and their customer support was fantastic. Sadly I don't think Perstel are around any more, but I will cherish my little DR101 until it decides to give up.

I have loads of other radios, but that's my favourite.

I had to have a good clear out a few years back, so I got rid of all my lovely old valve radios (women just don't appreciate loads of big WWll coms receivers or a nice B40 Receiver weighing 52kg - special offer buy one and get a free truss ) - I should have kept the radios and got rid of the XYL... All I have these days is in the list below:

ICOM 706MII
Kenwood TM-G707
Yaesu FRG-7 (Good old receiver after I did a few mods to it)
Sony ICF-2001
York JCB863 (Ex CB modified for 10mtrs Ham Band)
Pure Evoke-1
Grundig Satellit 1000 (I bought this in 1973)
Grundig Satellit 500 (Used for FM dxing until the London pirates f****d up the hobby)
Sony ICF403L (My favourite little analogue radio = Sony ICF404L) for £20 get one you'll love it)
Selena 215 (What can I say!!!! It's Russian)
Zenith Trans - Oceanic (Lovely old American Radio circa 1950's)

Well I'm not completely surprised as radios in micro systems are not dedicated FM tuners. Perhaps that particular model wasn't so hot. You really need a proper seperate FM tuner if you want to DX.

Onkyo have a reputation for producing excellent FM DX tuners, and the T-4970 is probably the best one they ever did.

For FM I use a Magnum Dynalab FT-101 with a 5 ele fixed beam in the loft

My main HF Radio is the Yaesu FT-2000D with an FT-847 and FT-897 mainly on VHF/UHF and an FT-817 and Sony ICF-SW100 for when portable. I've always found the Sony pretty deaf; it's OK for broadcast, but Amateur bands it's not particularly clever.

I'm also hoping to do the mod for the FT-897 to receive DRM. If anyone is interested, mod is here

One other area that I'm quite involved with (shameless plug for the group alert!) is the UKQRM group - www.ukqrm.org who are campaigning against interference caused to HF spectrum by PLT systems such as BT Vision.
