How amazing was Matthew on Saturday??! I loved it! Alesha was too - did anyone notice her running her hand up Aliona's leg? too funny.

I also felt for her in the dance off - her hand was shaking and it must have been tough for her as it was the first time she had to make that tough decision.

have to say as much as I want Matthew in every pro dance I don't want him dancing with Penny!!! It should be Ian! Is it really unfair to want a special Mattesha dance at Blackpool since they haven't danced there before....anyway better rush off, for anyone who has still to see The Alesha show you are in for a real treat! She was awesome!

Hi Missy that would be wonderful if they danced at Blackpool, it would be magical but it probably won't happen {Boo Hiss} but then again it might happen {whoop whoop}

LOUU!

Congratulations to you and your husband for the birth of your baby boy. I am in such awe of any one who has children as the labour sounds excruciating and it is so much responsibility. But if there is anyone who will be a brilliant mum it will be you. x

Evening, all! waves to smiles and Violet! missy and Violet, I agree with you both, it'd be nice to see Mattesha perform in Blackpool, but I don't think, it happens!
Apart from Fearne's documentary, Alesha'll be on EMA in Berlin on Thursday.
I just think, why Claudia can't interview Matt and Alesha, as we haven't had their interview since they won!

Just got back from seeing The Alesha Show in Birmingham and she was fantastic,
They had technical difficulties at the start so she ended up freestyling and was really good.
It was my 8 yr olds first concert and she loved it but said she will be deaf for 2 weeks as it was very loud in places.
Anyone who is going will have a great time, have took some video but will see what its like.

Hello DF it's good to hear that the live shows are going well and that you and your daughter had a great time last night.
I hope her hearing has returned to normal and this will be the first of many concerts that she will enjoy over the years. Thanks for popping in and I look forward to seeing your video.

Hi all Birmingham show was fantastic. DF glad you enjoyed yourselves, I'm the women Alesha's dancer dragged on stage. I did try to fight him off but my son colluded to push me on too, shame! lol
Got to meet up with Alesha as we waited at the gates and she stopped the car to chat to us for ages and had photos and autographs all this even though it was around 12:15 am.
I stayed standing for a lot of the show even though I was in the 2nd row, am so glad I did, just had to keep dancing. Also it was lovely that Alesha said I had entertained her during the show by doing so.

I'm going to Shepherds bush on the 12th and Lincoln on the 16th can't wait.

Evening all

LOUUUU! Fab to see you back hun, and many congratulations again. Hope you are all settling in to family life and cuddles to junior. Hope you will be weaning him on to Strictly this weekend - always best to get them in good habits early . Much love and hugs x.

Remi. Fab to see you back also. Hope all is well with you and that you are enjoying SCD this year. Thanks for link to Alesha interview. I did record the show last night to watch later!

Janice; Thanks so much for the fab report - sounds like you had an amazing time at the Alesha Show. Hope your other two gigs are just as good. Don't know where Alesha gets all her energy from!

DF: Thanks for popping in also - really pleased you and the little one had such a good time. Hope her ears have stopped ringing now. Freestyling sounds a real treat!

Hope everyone else is doing well, and had a good week, despite the mega-soggy weather.

Really looking forward to the show tomorrow - there was a bit on the north west news about SCD and everyone seems to be very happy to be at Blackpool and loving the atmosphere. Hope it's a great night.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Thanks SG.

It feels good to be back watching SCD properly this year. Things were a bit hair-raising last year so didnt concentrate on the show

Didnt Matthew do well last week? I still find it difficult watching anybody else when he's on the dancefloor

I wish Alesha had chosen her words more carefully when judging Craig. Came across as very harsh

Morning all. Hope everyone enjoyed the show last night. Have to say it was generally my fave of the year so far. As a supporter of Team Cola and Ali & Brian this year, I was in Shrek donkey mode last night, bouncing around at how well they both did and being called out first in the results to ease my nerves.

Remi: Matthew was amazing last week, and it's great that he is getting more of the spotlight in the pro routines this year.

But ballroom Matthew will always be my favourite purely to look at, as he wears tails like no other for me! I thought the pro VW last night was just magical in that gorgeous setting, but wished better camera angles and more focus on Mr C had been possible.

Loved the atmosphere and just the whole show.

Queenie: I have just posted on TCA and agree with you on Alesha's comment to Craig last night. I am a huge Alesha fan, as you know, and I deliberately haven't read any of the general threads , but I was very disappointed in her comments to Craig last night. She did I'm afraid go down in my estimation for that. I was surprised at how personal the comment she made was and how disparaging, when she more than anyone else on the panel knows that Craig will have put in just as much effort as the rest and deserves the same respect as everyone else.

Not the job of the judges to take this into account, I know, but given how much the getting to Blackpool meant to Craig and his whole family being there too, I felt sorry for them having to hear that. Also, Alesha herself said that she voted for John Sergeant for quite a few weeks last year, and said many a time on the show, she knows how the public works and it's not about being the best dancer etc, so it was also a touch hypocritical and insulting to the viewers, for me.

Overall I have really enjoyed Alesha's addition to the judging panel, she has done a great job imo and really found her feet quickly, so I hope everyone will take my comments in the right spirit, and I am still looking forward to seeing her again next week.

Queenie and everyone else going to The Alesha Show, hope you have a fab time this week. Hope everyone is having a good weekend and have a good week.

Morning all........oh well its afternoon now but who cares on a Sunday

Really enjoyed the show last night and the atmosphere in Blackpool seemed electric, much too little seen of Matt although i enjoyed the VW and his Cha Cha Cha with Penny.
Must say she managed to make even Matt seem slight though in comparison to her but they both looked to be really enjoying it so its all good

Mind you,Love,Sex,Magic is STILL on my mind so nothing will compare with that for a while,if ever .

As for Alesha and the Craig comments......... i have no problem with honesty (nothing Alesha said was dishonest or not what people were thinking),in fact i respect people who tell it as it is and who have the courage to step outside of the norm of pandering to the general masses to make it easy for themselves BUT (and its a big BUT) there is a way to deliver honesty in a dignified and less "slap in the face" type of way and Alesha plainly did not achieve that last night .
Len did and i hope when Alesha watches herself back she will realise how what she said and (more importantly) how she said it came across on screen.

I'm probably one of the minority that have enjoyed her on the judging panel but maybe it's because i like her as a person.........last nights "events" i didn't like but one thing won't stop me liking her as a person ( just as one thing wouldn't stop me liking someone in the real world )........if the delivery of honesty carried on in the same vein then it would be a different matter but if she can watch herself and learn from it/change then thats the important thing.

Hope everyone going to the concert this week has a great time and keep your eyes peeled for any possible tall blondes

HI guys hope you dont mind me popping in !! I completely agree FG and I thought you put it very well. If Alesha learns from last night then that can only be a good thing and I would hope it wouldn't be held against her. I have to admit I was shocked by the way she delivered her comments.
I hope you guys are all well !!

Just as an aside........i REALLY liked Ali/Brians VW last night ( they look so in love, seriously,Brian just oozes affection and its lovely to see )anyway, i didn't think it was worth a 40 if Matt and Aleshas VW was worth 38 ??

I dont think Alesha was that bad, im suprised at the uproar on the main forum
Maybe she shouldnt have said what she did re Zoe but i personally think people asking for her to be fired because of it are just being ridiculous!

Hiya bb

I haven't "gone there" but i can imagine (after what happened at the beginning of the series) .......Alesha seems to create some sort of over-reaction in people, beats me,but we are all entitled to an opinion

Evening, all! I think, the last night's show was the best this series. It was lovely to see Matt three times, but he looked tiny compare to Penny! I loved team Cola, Ali and Brian's VW was beautiful, but for me mattesha's VW Is the best! I don't want to go on the main forum, Alesha was just being honest, I'm sure, she'll learn how to say more tactically next time, but all this backlash makes me think about leaving DS for good!
Anyway I want to post this link to Alesha's interview http://www.mirror.co.uk/celebs/celeb...5875-21797954/, she says, she's not going to perform To Love Again on SCD, what a shame!

Hello

I thought Strictly on Saturday was alot of fun and Alesha's comment may have been a bit harsh but Craig didn't seem that bothered about it he was joking with Bruno and was only upset about his scores. It certainly doesn't deserve all the nastiness on the other threads here on DS and the beeb boards. I think some of them have been saving up all that bile just waiting for a moment they can grab to spew it all out.

I thought the Pro VW had alovely feel to it and everyone looked like they were having fun in the Swing dance. Matthew looked like he was enjoying himself dancing with Penny and yes isn't she tall.
I think a number of the population has taken up a new hobby of Matthew spotting in some of the Pro dances, not always successful due to rubbish choices of camera shots.

Svets don't leave us, we will all be sad what would Matteshadom do without you. Roll on Thursday that will cheer you up, I'm looking forward to hear all about it from you and the other ladies that are going.

Morning all.

VV: Like the sound of that new hobby - wonder if it could catch on as a national sport before the 2012 Olympics! Got myself in training just in case.

Svets: VV is right! You mustn't leave - ignore those threads out there! I know I have said something negative on here about it all, and what I said still holds for me, but like FG has said so well, one incident doesn't change how I fundamentally feel about Alesha in general. I just don't agree at all with how she handled herself this specific time. She can only learn and grow from all her experiences this season, and it must be a very steep learning curve. There is support on the general threads as well as the non-support, and there have always been those who were just waiting for an "excuse" to have a go at any given judge or celeb etc.

I just stick to the threads that I enjoy and get benefit from now.

You do a great job promoting Alesha on here with all your support and links. I always enjoy reading them all and we need that support to balance the rest.

Hope everyone has a good week and that everyone enjoys the concerts this week. Look forward to reading all the reports. Hugs all round.

Agreed svets,if possible just don't take negativity on board so much ( if necessary don't read certain threads) .....as someone has said recently rise above it and look at the positive

Also meant to say yesterday.......df and Janice, thanks for dropping by with info on Aleshas tour, like SG i'll be looking forward to any reports later this week
