Hi all
Well, since today my Youtube 'recommended for you' page was ALL John & Edward videos I thought I'd better join in the fun on their appreciation thread!

I liked the boys at their audition and at bootcamp but I really fell for them after 'She Bangs' (it's one of my favourite songs ). They're hilarious and the fact that they keep getting through is really annoying my family which is always a bonus

Fun fact: I'm exactly two months older than them. Their birthday is October 16th, mine is August 16th

Love this thread, and I can't wait to see what the boys have got in store for us this weekend

Welcome to the madness!

Haha, my "Recommended for You" part used to be all John and Edward until I watched on stupid Eoghan Quigg video and now suddenly it's all him! I'm not even a fan.

I can't watch this at work but I'll have a look later at home - does it confirm the theory that John can't really dance and Edward is the more co-ordinated of the two?

Well, he's in the X factor living room dancing to an NSync song and it looked good to me, he had all the moves going! He's so skinny though

J & Es top cheer-up tunes from the X Factor site!

1. Three Little Birds (Everything's Gonna Be Alright) - Bob Marley
2. Summer Love - Justin Timberlake
3. Everybody - Backstreet Boys
4. 3 - Britney Spears
5. End Of The Road - Boys 2 Men

The theory is that EDWARD can't dance. And before anyone has a go, here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxyg8Lv6lN4

John is in the green, Edward the red. Edward is very stiff and John is actually quite natural.

If that's "She Bangs", I loved the way they both moved in that - it was like watching Mr. Bean times two!

I thought Edward was the one who generally had his act together and John was a bit unco-ordinated, but maybe not - I'll check later.

From about .48 - 1.23 shows John as clearly the better dancer. Edward's very stiff (but apparently a better singer?)

John definitely seems to be the better dancer from the videos I've seen of him. Also the latest video of him dancing to Nsync shows that he seems to practice so that's maybe why....

Yep, John looks to be the better dancer. It looks like he practices more though.
'She Bangs' is my least favourite of all their performances so far (I just hate the song!) and 'We Will Rock You' is now my favourite, though I'm about to start counting down the hours till 'Ghostbusters'!

You beat me to it! There's an X Factor video too that shows John practising the 'Oops' dance properly and Edward doesn't seem bothered about it.

i always though john was the better singer and edward the better dancer well from the judges house, john did the lead vocals and was good (i thought), then in rock dj, the bit before they get onto the podiums edward is singing and he was out of breath whereas john seemed ok. also in rock dj when they jump off the podiums, john kinda trips.

must do more research

^^No I agree. I've always thought John was the better singer aswell! At the judges house Edward was way out of tune. He sang 'I want it' a bit too high at the end, and it just sounded rather funny

1.44

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwRMd...om=PL&index=16

got a lot better since then though!

Is that the one when they're in the dressing room in their costumes? I thought it was Edward who seemed to be doing the moves properly and telling John not to rush?

I just can't keep up with which one's which any more!

He sounded like he was aiming for a falsetto!

I have to say though, just listening to that, it wasn't brilliant but it WAS in tune - they can carry a tune standing still.
