Remote record, new EPG and series link

Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but with the new EPG if you set something to record using Remote record how do you set series link? With the old EPG you simply highlighted the prog you'd set to record and pressed the green button. New EPG - this doesn't work! I use RR all the time to set a prog to record if I'm likely to forget its on, then series link it when I'm near the box.

If the series link function does not appear at the bottom of the screen when you highlight the programme in the planner, there is no series link available for that programme, and the green button won't do anything.
That's always been the case.

Just checked on my box (Thomson) and it's possible to set a series link on a programme added to the planner through Remote Record.

I'd try it with a programme that definitely has a Series Link (like EastEnders on BBC1) as "Dave-H" hints at, and if that doesn't work it could be a gitch with the new EPG on Samsung boxes.

Hi guys, thanks for the replies. The programme in question was Dollhouse, with no series link option when added via Remote record. No options at all other than deleting it, so I did just that, re-added it and lo and behold I had the option of recording the series. Didn't use the green button though, I'm not even sure this exists on my Samsung now since you have the "Record Once/Series" option when you add programmes....

The lack of a series link option on remote record has always been an irritation by the way. Seems so simple on the face of it!

Dollhouse has now finished until the new year so that could explain it

The green button option is still there on the new EPG as it always was. The new EPG just gives you the option of doing the whole thing in one hit if there is a series link available.

That might make some sense, it has indeed ended for the year.
