Just caught up with this. I thought I wouldn't be too impressed, that it would be too slow or the characters would be annoying and self absorbed but it's absolutely gripping. Even though i haven't really warmed to any of the characters it so well written i get completely absorbed in it anyway.

Week one ratings are out. It's a hit for Sky Arts 1!!

First five shows take top five spots and Sunday repeats take four of last five places.

Really enjoying it, glad others are too.

Can't get around to watching it every night at 10pm, I've caught the omnibus on the last two Sundays. Really into it, intelligent TV.

When is it on? I'm catching Sky Arts being mentioned? Is that on my cable channels - I get virgin cable with some sky channels but not the full set with all the movies etc.

Weeknights at 10pm, omnibus same time on Sundays. I've think Sky Arts is a subscription channel if you haven't got a Sky package. I didn't even remember I had Sky Arts until this was advertised.

Monday - Friday 10pm on Sky Arts I don't know if you can get it on virgin though. It's a very good series I'm hooked

It's also available on iTunes if it's the only show you want out of the entire mix!

It's a bit weird with this at the moment - I find myself not really enthusiastic about watching each episode but when I do, I end up really enjoying it.

I wonder if i'll stick it out for the full run though ..

This show has done well in the US apparently which is surprising since it doesn`t have any sex or violence in it. it does have strong language.

I think this is one of the best shows to come out of the US for a long time; enthralling and fascinating. It is all about the doctor and not the patients; they are just a vehicle for highlighting the complexities of the psychiatrist's own problems.

Of course it has the added benefit of being on a Sky channel but not annoyingly interupted by adverts!

I so want to see this because Gabriel Byrne had an Emmy nomination for it. Haven't got Sky though, so am desperately hoping that 5USA will show it.

I very much doubt they will. BTW the DVD of season one is being released on Feb 1, 2010.

Very strong set of episodes this week, particularly with Alex and with Kate yesterday. The format really works for the show, there's never a hint of the situations getting annoying or repetitive and you can see the characters develop at a good pace. It'll be interesting to see what sort of conclusion each story can have since many of the situations seem so badly damaged.
