glad Don got some action (or that was the inference) I had a terrible feeling he was going to get punched out or something and not make it to the bedroom! From memory he has 'nailed' some good looking women all in all.

I loved the third series..
This one was on a whole other level of greatness, my heart sank a bit when he got that text from Abbie, as I really loved Sam & Don together; (although it probably would not be the same without the love/hate banter, which is classic).

Mrs. Treacher & Eddie has also been another highlight of the series.

I would quite like the 3rd series to include both Abbie & Sam, but honestly I can't see Abbie coming back.

Repost from duplicate thread:

Been watching this since the second episode of this series, and while it can be a bit hit and miss it's one of the few shows me and the missus both enjoy in equal measure.

Also it's the first UK comedy I've consistently enjoyed recently (barring Peep Show and what I've seen of Being Human), the final episode was just brilliant, and not since The Office have I felt all blubby over a TV romance like this!

The episode with Don's gay phase was also excellent and had my girlfriend and I in stitches throughout.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok so now I've found the right thread, HOW THE HELL HAVE I NOT NOTICED THIS SHOW BEFORE???????????

I didn't realise it was the third series, it's a seriously undiscovered gem of a show., love it.

Me too, it was such a bolt from the blue, though I was completely expecting something to happen before that though to prevent him getting upstairs!

There have only been two series. Series 1 - Abby, Series 2 - Samantha. Although the first episode of the first series (I think) also had the woman who was Peep Show Jeremy and Mark's love interest in the episode where Jeremy's band were playing at the religious festival.

I love everything about it, my favourites were the first episode of series 1 and Don does Gay from this series. I love the theme music, it makes me feel upbeat.

Like a previous poster Sam has grown on me this series (Perhaps that was their intention?) She sort of reminds me of Lucy Davis.
Looking forward to series 3! see on IMDB that there was a pilot, I'd like to see that!

David Armand as Eddie is great.

Can I say again that it is a privilege and humbling to be in the company of such wise, knowledgeable people.
HNTLYL - is in the holy trinity of outstanding comedies at the moment along with Peep Show and underneath the soaring genius that is Larry David and Curb your Enthusiasm.

I didn't like Sam at first, I mean if some one came to my house with an attitude like that I'd tell them to f**k off for themselves.
But then I guess Don's a sucker for a pretty face!!
She grew on me though especially as her alter ego Garden!!

I love the stupid things Don says like bum-anus and gaymen. Even though he gets himself into humiliating situations he just has no Shame ever!!
Brilliant.

I really enjoyed HNTLYL - the 'what Don could do' scenarios - always funny.

Can I also mention that the location for the last ep is a real wedding venue on the shores of Loch Lomond. I only know that because that's where myself and mrs zapod tied the knot a couple of years ago.

Quite strange to see it on the telly in the context of a comedy wedding

The final episode had 535, 000 viewers in the overnights which is just outside the multichannel top 30. So should have a good chance of a 3rd series.

Fans of Eddie can see him in Armstrong & Miller. It's quite odd to see him in a dominating role such as the demented serviceman that was on lastnights' show

One of the benefits of appearing in a sketch show is that an actor can play a wide range of parts and avoid getting typecast as a slightly effiminate home-help. Did you see him as Nick/Mick with a big mop of hair?

David Armand (Eddie) is also in "sorry I've got no head" an above average kids sketch show on CBBC.

Seconded re the new series.

On the 2nd November 2009, BBC Three recomissioned the show for a third series. This was confirmed by Dan Clark on both his Twitter and Facebook page.
You will probably be able to follow the progress if you use those.
