I am a Mum with 2 young kids and i would in the first place never ever ever leave them alone in the house never mind in another country.

Something really does not feel right about the whole Maddy missing thing, i had huge suspisions when Shannon Mathews went missing but this feels and has felt even more strange.

I can imagine what any parent would go through if their child ever went missing but why the massive ho hum with the McCanns? To me it feels as though there is a huge cover up some how and someone close to the family knows the real truth

I did not know that the dogs were so unreliable!
One of the dogs which was used in the McCann case featured recently in an episode of the ITV documentary series Send In The Dogs. They mentioned the McCann case briefly, then showed the dog doing a search as part of another, more recent, job. Apparently, this dog is considered an 'expert' and is used by police forces all over the country.

Obviously, these dogs aren't infallible, but they tend to be pretty good at what they do, and the dog in question seems to be much sought after due to its skill and the fact that there aren't many dogs currently on active service in the police force who are trained in that particular area of detection.

The dogs used in the McCann case appeared to detect blood and cadaver traces in the apartment. I have yet to hear a convincing innocent explanation of how and why traces of those things would have been in the apartment. Thus far, the only explanation given by the McCanns and their reps is that the dogs must have been mistaken.

Police admitted that after five days of searching they were surprised to find the baby alive.

'Statistically speaking this should not have ever happened, that we found this child alive, especially after so many days. Time was against us,' Washington County Sheriff Bobby Haddock said.

They may know different of course given the assortment of "experts" they have "advising" them!

If you want to see how investigative TV interviews should be conducted, look at this: http://joana-morais.blogspot.com/200...ws-mccann.html

No set questions, no brown-nosing... just sensible interviewing. And watch the interviewees' body language. Speaks volumes.

I take my hat off to Sandra!

Just as long as the case is re-opened, that's great news for Maddie. Will it happen though?

I totally agree with this,
She'd only be 5 now wouldn't she?

She looks around 8 or 9 in those pictures, but I felt that way about the first "aged" picture they brought out too.

As for the McCanns themselves, well I can't say anything that hasn't been said.

To the best of my knowledge, the case can be re-opened at any time - the McCanns have the power to do so.

If Kate answers the questions she refused to answer then that will constitute enough new evidence to re-open the case.

Just like his find the body and prove we murdered her statement, it's scary how overly confident the McCanns are when they say these things

That's a brilliant interview! Thanks for that

Typical responses from the pair....things like "legal processes/no evidence/public support blah blah blah"

Gerry and Kate were getting a little flustered during that interview. You could see Gerry getting just a tad annoyed.

Just wish the British press had the balls to put them on the spot like that...then perhaps people would get a clearer picture instead of the heavily diluted, emotional guff filled versions we read about.

I know loads of parents, all of them wouldn't for a second think of doing what they did, they'd find it outragous.

So the parents got theirs and sod the little girl eh? Nice. You're a true humanitarian

Enough already.
If the price to finally find out what happened to the girl means a constant barrage of 'annoying' updates to you and the rest of the idle minded who cares crowd, then it's a price worth paying.

So, what a lot of people are probably thinking is, they didn't care about their children so why should we?
Aye the 'I'm alright Jack' attitude pretty much sums it up.
