ukfree.tv tells me all the freeview frequencies, and also i have the East, South East and London channels programed into my tv

Plus maybe the fact that the teletext tells me "ITV1 London"

I can also get CP and BH but not Dover.
And My aerial has to go on a very long pool to pick these up.

I don't bother with these as Sudbury works great.
Also I tried my aerial in the loft and it don't pick up any signals up there but as soon as its out side fine.

Teletext only tells you the main transmitter - so you can be getting it from a daughter or relay.

You may have been 'told' the frequencies - but are you actually receiving on them?

How far are you from CP - Wolfbane will tell you. It will also give the field strength - and if you are less than about 10 dBuV/m you will be unlikely to get anything even on an amplified outside aerial.

Clearly since i checked the analogue frequencies and the freeview frequencies and they both match

Wolfbane isn't much help i've been on there before - tells me for every transmitter that i need an extra gain aerial, pfft

You need an ExtraGain (possibly amplified?) aerial to get reliable DTT - the value to look for is the field strength for non-standard aerials. If Wolfbane gives an aerial that will work then you may get unreliable DTT on a set-top aerial.

'Reliable' means that you get an error-free signal 99% of the time.
