Naughty but true!

Is anyone else predicting a 'You're all through to next week'
moment from Bruce on Saturday?
I hope so even if it would have been much mroe sensible to have voted a couple back in or brought back Tuffers after Jade had to retire from the competition.

I miss Jade!

Sounds fab, sofakat - glad you had a great time.

What's happened to the forum? Only not been on it for a couple of days and it's like a bonkers-fest out there! At first glance MRSA is seemingly responsible for all the ills of the world and Ali and Ricky not far behind. Laila seems the forgotten contestant.

I can't remember exactly, just that she felt the need to slag her at every possible opportunity. I'm fairly sure she acted like the caping in the paso was a crime against the Geneva Convention. She was pretty harsh on Alesha towards the end and heavily in Gethin's corner as well.

Even today she couldn't help it with regards to Laila- "I think Craig didn't like it because the faces were overkill". Craig SAID he didn't like it because it was heavy and flat-footed and not danced technically well, nothing to do with the faces. He LIKED the faces.

Of course that would mean that the Charleston IS being judged technically, which doesn't map with her campaign to give her favourite boy a 10.

Anyone else having a little giggle at the thought of Ali unleashing Animal from the muppets as per Bruno's quote.... I would love that! Would work amazingly as an intro to tango.
(Fabulous M'sieur Monkseal, did you not once compare Brian to Animal? Even spookier if so....)

I should stay in here....

Here on this thread we have with warmth and intelligence. We even get lovely lurkers who, every now and then, post something funny and interesting. We get the best of the best.

Why oh why do I go out THERE every now and then, and read a post that brings out the very worst in me?

Will someone please hold on to my ankles?

Echo cymrugirl. I enjoy the comments on here but wouldn't post on here because the tumblewood blows when I make a joke. (I think I once posted when I'd had a surfeit of wine but never dared look 'cos I couldn't face seeing the gibberish I'd posted).

Anyway, I know I'm supposed to unappreciate but Sofakat - where did that post come from - you came out all guns blazing - it was brilliant! & ditto about Monkseal's work - your blog is a highlight of my week (couldn't eat my lunch after the screencap of Ali's obvious enjoyment of Brian's work).

Anyway enough appreciating! Keep up the fab unappreciating.

Hardly daring to hope is more like it... It just seems far too sensible for the BBC to even consider it...

And I miss Jade too.

Thanks Apricot. I also have a deep and abiding respect for young Monkseal

P.S. Which has just been negated by his behaviour!

I hear Matthew Cutler's quite experienced at it...

(Ha, I love that I posted that at the same time as you were saying you had respect for me. More fool you...)

No DJ, it was Leandro Palou and Romina Godoy of Tangosoul in London.

Ah.... mmm.... interesting...

I wouldn't get too hung up on the codigos side of things for dancing in London; as you may be aware it's a massive free-for-all here

Which is probably why I hate it , and prefer to dance in Europe. The tangueros are much, much better too

I like to think of London as being a Darwinian dancing environment. If you can dance there, you can dance anywhere.

It's basically the real world equivalent of some of the nuttier threads on this forum

That's very clever DJ - and also very true Some of the tango nutters over here are barking!

They so often say, with a superior sneer: 'I've been to Buenos Aires six times and danced with everyone who matters...'

To which I am often SO tempted to reply, 'so how come you still can't lead a decent tango..?'

Whilst I'm here, can I randomly and splenetically unappreciate this idea that Alesha has supposedly been really unempathetic towards the weaker dancers and only nice towards her "favourites" the better ones?

I did not sit through a month and a half of her telling Lynda Bellingham she was "fierce" and Joe Calzaghe that he was "showing definite signs of improvement" to have it just forgotten.

(Also I’d like to ask Santa for the winner this year to do a cocking awful Bacofoil meets Night Of The Living Dummies Showdance so we can finally get rid of the idea once and for all that they make any sodding difference. Although I’d actually I’d quite like that just on its own merits)
