As for the following week Rachel's AT was in a different class to anyone else and it's very very possible Austin could have lost out which I would have accepted with equanimity, natch.

Then again he could have done an equally stunning one. We shall never know. It'd just be nice to have a fair bite of the cherry at this stage. If a control freak like Cowell can hand the vote over to the public I'm at a loss to understand the control mania on this side when they're not even dancing for a professional dance contract.

I'm also at a loss to understand all the permutations but I'm just bored with it all full stop. It's been like Groundhog Day for the past two years and it's the last time I shall mention it (hurrah) even if Cola get skewered.

Yes Tom did get through and win and I think he'd have won anyway with the showdance (it'd have been much more of a competition in the end on a public vote because they told us he was so far ahead the week before so no surprise) but he was lucky in that the vote was completely fraudulent. They unwittingly gave him a thumping great loophole. We joke about OFCOM but it was serious last year. Very thin ice and I think they're on equally thin ice this year.

Natalie C hit the nail on the head on BF today.

Very honest.

So sorry to hear of Maggie Jones' passing. One of the best one liner deliverers I've ever seen. She will be sorely missed- I only ever watched Corrie for her. RIP
