I actually remarked to a friend that her fumbles with Max won't have done her any favours, because the GBP doesn't like the idea of women having sex. Maxwell, of course, will be practically ignored for his part in whatever went on, when we all know it takes two to tango. I actually view the two of them in the same light over their 'intimate moments' a couple of nights ago - if they wanted privacy, why on earth did they have their hands down each other's pants in the middle of the living room? It all smacked of publicity seeking.

What I don't like about Saskia is her ruthless fame seeking. She has planned her strategy for doing well in BB down to the letter, and expects the public not to figure this out (despite talking about it quite openly on the live feed). I feel that her machinations insult the intelligence of many BB viewers, who had the whole thing figured out years ago. I also don't like her views on immigration, and have found several of her comments when involved in arguments particularly offensive. I'm not saying she's racist, but rather ill-informed. She often gives the impression that she hasn't thought her views through.

I don't care whether she chooses to do things with Maxwell's willy or not. Sex on BB doesn't interest me in the slightest. But it is plain to see that Saskia has latched onto Maxwell from the beginning of the show in order to get into the final. Maxwell has done exactly the same with her, and they are both aware of the other's intentions. My biggest objection to the two of them is that they have taken the viewers for fools, and this [i][isn't/i] the way to win a popularity contest. So I guess to get back to the question in hand, it's not a girlie thing - Saskia is not a slapper, or a bitch, but she has been very foolish in thinking herself and Maxwell to be hugely popular. She forgot that to win, she needs to be liked by the public, and this affection for her needs to last through the whole show.

The 'hands down the pants' thing was the best way I could think of describing things without repeating myself. Who knows what was going on, but I have my suspicions that they were doing more than just 'snogging'.

Think about the privacy thing - if you wanted some private time together, wouldn't you go to the loft? That's what it was built for, after all.

And maybe they like each other, maybe they don't. Maybe some affection has grown between them over time. Maybe they've become taken in by their own spin - I won't pretend to know what their real feelings are for each other. But if they didn't want to be disturbed, they could've gone to the loft where the other housemates weren't milling around. If they'd wanted to put on a show, however, they could've just gone for it in the middle of the lawn. I don't know, after all the talks about making good TV, and a relationship being something that will win fans, I can't help but be suspicious about them. But then maybe they'll do a Stu and Michelle, and still be together in time for BB7. However, I can't say I'll be on tenterhooks waiting for news of their engagement.

Teenage girls impose the characters of other girls that they feel threatened by onto the women on BB; they are not old enough to understand that men can be very unpleasant too, because they see them as cardboard cut out heroes; Being young as well, they are susceptible to the tabloid press and celebrity mags' whipping up of jealousy between women because of their constant harping on about womens' looks;
Teenage girls may be influenced by the views of males they are impressed by, and these males may be negative to the female contestants due to feeling threatened by women in general.

The gay male vote, which I expect is rarely in favour of women, also may swing it by 10%.

4. The women in BB tend to be poor game players - they frequently indulge in behaviour which a prior analysis of the game would tell them would make them unpopular, e.g. such as clinging to male hms, flirting with male hms, bitching, and generally letting their feelings be known.

She strikes me as the kind of self-centred woman who because she looks a certain way believes she is better than everyone else. You could put a size 20 feamle Doctor who'd saved the lives of an entire army regiment using a toothpick and Saskia would still think she was the superior person because of how she looks - she doesn't seem to base opinions on anything else than the visual and material. That's not to say the other HMs aren't as bad in many cases but in Saskia's case it is as obvious as the nose on her face

However, most opinion on here is about Saskia alone and not much is made of Max's past 2 weeks. The thread was intended to guage the relative worthiness of which of the two should be voted out.

We're always told that it's only teenage females and gay males who vote on BB, though I've never seen any statistical analysisis of that, so I think that must hold some water, and I do like your 'women are poorer game players' theory. That's why I think Makosi has been such a breath of fresh air. Perhaps THE best player of the BB game ever. Certainly the best female player.

Also what is so wrong with not being friendly with the other girls. We know Saskia has girl friends outside the house.

Incredible post and so true. I agree 100% with everything you said and it makes perfect sense. I always feel that although they may get the boot, alot of the female housemates who get alot of flack, as you say, do indeed get alot more sucess OUTSIDE of the house. They kind of have the last laugh alot of the time.
