Danni dont be a HYPOCRITE - The X Factor

Danni is such a hypocrite when she says that J&E wont sound good on radio.

OF COURSE THEY WILL

If J&E spend the same amount of time as Danni did in the recording studio then J&E will sound as good as she did.

It takes Danni about 1 week to record a 3 minute song and Danni usually has to sing it 5 times, one line at a time, and even then singing over a guide track to help her.

How do I know...I wont say unless she denies it.

If Danni was on the Radio - singing Live she woundn't sound much different to those She criticises.

I was wondering how long before one of these threads started. Why pick on just Dannii? What about Simon & Louis, who have no physical singing credentials at all.

And by the way, it takes about that period of time to record most songs.

I suspect that's how it's done for a lot of major recording artists.

All this debate about singing ability puts me in mind of an anecdote my mother told me about going to the Palladium to see Alma Cogan in the '50s. Apparently she was so awful the audience were flinching.

Dannii is a very good live singer so give it a rest.

Hasn't she done the dreaded musical theatre? I seem to recall her featuring in The Hunchback of Notre Dame in London some years ago.

Well Simon admits to not being a singer, and Louis is a manager not a singer.

Louis has publicly said that Kylie cant sing

...and Kylie is supposed to be a better singer than sis Danni

I'll agree tho that Danni and Cheryl are probably as bad as each other. Both Hypocrites.

I hope that most of us do know what it means but your post makes me doubt if you do.

Even if Danni was a totally crap singer, it does not make her a hypocrite if she says that someone else is. What do you think the word hypocrite means?

She don't sing live she mimes LOL.. thats why it sounds like the original record.

An NO some artists don't need autotune on most every line and have to timed to the music either, or have to be recorded over herself just to thicken up her voice.

Danni isn't that good a singer, but you don't have to be a good singer to have a reasonable good ear for music. Simon is proof of that he can not sing "Happy Birthday to you" in tune but has a good enough ear to know how bad he sung it.

It's not Danni that's a good singer --- its the computer your hearing. No Live instrument and no live voice either. Well not Dannii's anyway

Listen to the clip that someone has posted 2 posts up. If you really struggle to distinguish that Dannii is much better vocally than J&E, then you may just struggle at most things musically, or even in general.

She sings above average, not good enough for Radio without loads of studio help. That clip was 1998 thats 11 years ago, and you think that was in tune all the way through ? pleasant enough tho

classixuk - I'm no Dannii fan but I believe she's done some theatre work (I believe in Australia, possibly London as well) which involved singing... I don't think they can mime in theatre.

Just about every artist to some degree, requires some help in the studio if you are perfecting a track fit for sale. The music industry & the label will demand it. It's a product, a brand.

You're implying that with the same amount of time spent in the studio manipulating the vocal to tune, J&E will sound just as good as Dannii. Based on their live performances, J&E's will require more work.
