John and Edward must quit the show

John Sergeant did the right thing.

John and Edward MUST now consider quitting the show before it goes too far.

Ridiculous thing to say

John Sergeant is a celebrity and was dancing for charity. John and Edward are there to win and do better for themselves

I actually think John and Edward would gain credibility if they quit. They would gain lots of fans for quiting an as the hype is around them this week they would have the best chance of carving a tv career out of this.

The public are voting for them so why should they quit? They're obviously going to try and get as far as possible in the compitition.

The only reason that they should quit would be if they considered themselves to be in physical danger. Whatever anyone thinks of them, they have a right to be there.

*Sigh* JS quit because he had a lucrative job coming up, had expected to be out well by then, plus there was a second group dance that week, and he couldn't cope, which is why he quit on the Tuesday, after group rehursals

Exactly. Who's to say which part of the public is right, the public that wants them in or the public that doesn't?

For what? Not getting the fewest votes and not going home?

That would be the public fault!

And keeping in Lloyd would also be their fault as well.

So I can't see that the twins need to do anything.

Lloyd was worse than Lucy this week, should he quit too?? No, because the public are not abusing him.
Why call for John and Edward to quit just because they are less talented than a few of the other contestants.
The problem lies squarely at the feet of those booing and disrespecting them, it is them who should quit.

Surely in a week or two one of the other contestants will emerge with a bit of personality and we can start rooting form them to win but at the moment none of the other contestants are really capturing the public's imagination so we are left with John and Edward to talk about.

They won't win the show I am certain of that and I think they deserve to be there over Lloyd and possibly even Jamie who is getting steadily worse each week.

The public are voting them in regardless of what others think, so why should they walk?!

I'm having the same thoughts.

They looked really sad tonight, it all must be taking it's toll. Every comment about them is that they shouldn't be there. How must it feel to sit there and listen to how bad it is Lucie got voted out etc etc, how they shouldn't be there?

As much as I love watching them I'm not sure I can stomach any more of this thoughtlessness and nastiness towards them.

The request for them to quit the show, is even higher now, if it is true what is said in the media, death threats have been made against the idiots, and it WILL get worse now after tonights vote.

I would never go that far, by saying that the idiots might be nice people, BUT they are on the wrong show, and yes this is down to the judges who picked them, but SC has a great deal to do with this, he has already said TONIGHT they won't win, so why prolong the agony, l will never understand it, in all my time wathcing shows like this, the re-action is incredible, what l would say if l was there mother, give up now, before some maniac does strike, as l think this could now happen.

I think they should all quit except for the act which has got The X Factor. Obviously they're the only act which deserves it.

Hang on, which act has The X Factor? Can we all come to an agreement?

nope they should stay and win. the best singer went tonight thanks to simon not perceving her as his chosen one, so the best act should win since its not a singing competition now

NO way, they should carry on as they are there by the public vote and people like my nephew love them.. so why should they go.. cos you want them to OP.. please dont let this happen, the judges put them there, the public have kept them in, so they have to stay there for me... win or lose, or be gone next week they have to stay now, or this show is a joke for those who have voted for them week in week out.

John Sergeant did the wrong thing. Jedward better not follow.

The public haven't yet deemed them the worst act, therefore they have as much right to be there are anyone else.

Stupid idea.

I'd give them one more week OP but yes,if the level of booing and hostility is the same next week, they should seriously consider withdrawing no matter what happens in the vote.

The levels of abuse they are taking this weekend is incredible.....I couldn't believe the stuff I was reading on Youtube today.

Why? They were above Lucie with the public vote, so have a right to be there.

Silly suggestion.

I wouldn't be surprised if they do quit, although I don't agree that they should. The reason I wouldn't be surprised is that when Dermot said Lucie was going home, they looked shocked and a bit upset - obviously they must have been expecting to go and probably they felt that Lucie was a lot better than them. I think that John & Edward quitting is a high possibility.

That said, as I already mentioned, I don't think they should - while they're getting the votes, they have as much of a right to stay as any of the other contestants.

Why should they? They have as much right as anyone to be there. Lloyd got through tonight and he was dire last night. How comes his fans dont get the stick that the twins fans do. They should quit!!!!!!!! that is hilarious.

So they should quit just because you don't like them? How childish can you get.
