Uhh, probably, considering that according to her biog she attended an all-girls school.

I've never seen or heard her myself, but having Googled her, you're not the only one to ask that question - although there appears to be no clear answer either way.

crikey... honestly, she looks like a bloke in makeup and dress...

sorry for the offense, if she's truly a woman, and also I don't mean to offend, those of transexual preference..

it was just quite strange, to the point I couldn't focus on the report, due to my curiosity, of her appearance..

I'm almost ashamed to have brought it up atall... Sorry

To be honest I just thought exactly the same thing. Her voice was very butch indeed.
Though I must admit she did look feminine, which is more than what can be said about my nephew (who is now my NIECE) He/She looks as feminine as one of the characters from the "Plenty" kitchen rools advert!

Good apology Bonny.

CW's one of the half dozen good journos left on the beeb. Brave girl too. Unlike a lot of the other news muppets who think a suit and a scowl will do.

The muddled thinking of bbc management made her a defence correspondent but she's done ok with it.

I have been thinking the same for quite a while now - very hard to concentrate on War matters - makes Pat Butcher look feminine.

We've had this conversation many times on DS - I think the conclusion is that she is a proper woman, though just a bit manish.

She's been on the radio for ages, always had a deep voice. Then she did this piece on France and mentioned the word 'sex' , and I've had a vague crush ever since. Plus we're the same age and have a similar-ish background.

And no, I'm not transexual either .

Don't think the thought ever crossed my mind. This thread is a bit offensive LOL. Nothing wrong with offense really, but i feel for the poor girl if she googles her name and finds this. :S
