Craig Interview. Thug Attack, TV Plans & Jade. - Big Brother

An interview with BB1's Craig in this week's Liverpool Echo in which he discusses his recent encounter with some hooligans, as well his future career plans and Jade Goody.

''CRAIG Phillips is fit . . . very fit - as he proved last weekend when he was set upon by a group of rowdy rock fans in a West London hotel.

"I am into martial arts defence, in which I ama black belt, and I do Thai boxing - so I can protect myself.

"I was enjoying an evening out with family and friends so my major priority was to look after them.

"The group had been to a concert and were dressed in black leather pants with zips. "I'm sorry to say that there are some sad people out there - cowards who just look for trouble.

"My sister Bev and my two nieces were there so it wasn't pleasant for them. Happily, my mumhad gone to bed."

The police were called after the fight broke out and Craig says he was unscathed by the attack.

Now Craig is looking forward to getting back to work and is lined up to appear in some more DIY shows, such as the BBC's Big Strong Boys, and episodes of Bo Selecta for Channel 4, where he will be interviewing celebrities about DIY.

Craig, who came third in Back to Reality, says he was disappointed with the outcome of the show.

He said: "After Big Brother I did get a lot of work and personal appearances offered to me, but there have been none after this. But I amnot complaining - I have a lot on."

He says there were some plusses - he made some good pals including Mo from Driving School and James Hewitt.

"James is coming to Liverpool in the next few weeks and will be staying at the Sir Thomas Hotel.

I amgoing to show him the sights."

But one person who WON'T be coming to visit him is Jade.

Says Craig: "She is loud, boisterous, immature and has a lot to learn."

As for that other reality show, Craig says: "I would have liked to have been in I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here in the jungle but I turned it down once before because I was too busy at the time."

I do hope that waste of space Goody hasn't been offered anymore money for doing nothing as well.......

Is he really surprised? This show was a complete flop which received absolutely no media interest at all, and did horribly in the ratings .. who would want the offspring of that?!

hehe, my friend was one of the people there....and if craig was practicing his thai boxing, he must have been doing it behind the sofa!

apparently some of craig's mates got very protective of their 'private space', and lashed out. it was all over in about 20 seconds, and they all scarpered.
